Welcome to my guide to be a Pure Buffalo, which means this guide is meant to help you become a strong Gladiator. So if your making a Bunny/Hybrid Buffalo this may not be as helpful to you as a Pure Buffalo, but feel free to use this guide still.
[A1] Buffalo Information (The 3 Jobs)!
Fighter Information (1/3):
Spoiler!
Skills:
- The Bunny and Buffalo share a set of Power Type skills in their first job. It consists of one-to-one attack skills and some stat buffs/debuffs.
Reason for coming to Caballa Island:
- He is a professional fighter who would challenge and fight anybody. He unknowingly competes in an illegal fight and seriously injures his opponent in a win. But only finds out about it after he was cheated off his prize money by his manager. He comes to Caballa Island to make money to take care of his injured opponent and his family.
Description:
- The Buffalo is the male counterpart of the Power Type. The Buffalo uses Sword type weapons for melee damage and Attack Power (AP) to strengthen its attacks. The Buffalo has a large variety of multiple-target attack skills, along with some other single-target attacks. The Buffalo can also use Elemental Attributes to power up some of his skills.

- A strong, bully type character with big horns on top of his head. He wears a red scarf and a protective bandage on his arm.
Warrior Information (2/3):
Spoiler!
Skills:
- The Buffalo obtains new multiple-target skills used to kill quantities of enemies, with the addition of elemental power to his attacks.

[B-] Stats!
There are four digits in builds, here they are:
Power
Code:
- First digit of the four, this is the section that you automatically need!!
Consists of AP(Attack Power), AC(Accuracy), and DX(Dexterity).
Attack Power(AP): This number increases your damage with a Sword, Knife,
or Hammer. It really is important for you.
Accuracy(AC): You kind of need this, because if you don't have it, you better
enjoy missing 100% of higher leveled monsters.
Dexterity(DX): The LOWER (Yes, lower) this stat is, the faster you will attack.
And this works for melee attacks, so this is useful for us.
Magic
Code:
- Second digit of the four, this is the section you should never need to put
points in for a power type, here they are: Magic Points (MP), Magic Attack
(MA), and Magic Defense (MD).
Magic Points(MP): This number determines the number of Magic Points you have.
You use MP when you cast skills, so this is kind of important. If you run out,
you can’t use any more skills until you use a MP increasing item, such as a
Blue Potion C.
Magic Attack(MA): This stat is useless for us. Essentially, the
higher it is, the more damage you’ll do with Magic Attacks. But wait, we
don’t have any of those…
Magic Defense(MD): This stat determines how much damage
you take from MAGIC skills. But, very few monsters actually use Magic, so
it’s not really a big concern to us.
Sense
Code:
- This is the third number out of the four digits. This is a section which
varies from build to build, because it's stats. Consists of: Weight (WT),
Detection Ability (DA), and Luck (LK). Here’s what they do:
Weight(WT): This number decides how much you can carry. The higher it is,
the better. But we decide between this and charm, so our Weight is hard to
keep up, but
many buffalo's struggle with this.
Detection Ability(DA): This number helps you detect items when
drilling. When it reaches 90, you will always detect something when you’re
drilling.
Luck(LK): Well, you know how I said Accuracy determines a critical hit rate?
Luck is the other stat that determines a critical hit. The higher it is, the
more often you will have some. Luck is also the accuracy for Magic
attacks and Gun attacks.
Charm
Code:
- This is the last number out of the four digits. These stats determine
survivability. Consists of: Hit Points (HP), Defense Points (DP), and
Evasion (HV).
Hit Points(HP): This number determines how long your alive. If this hits 0,
you die. Very important for any character.
Defense Points(DP): This number determines how HARD you get hit, when you
get hit. The higher this is, the less damage you will take.
Evasion(HV): This number, determines how easily you will evade an attack and
generate a “miss”. The higher this is, the more attacks you will dodge.
[B1] Skill Builds & Growth
Builds:
Code:
4141 (Consists of: 4 Power, 1 Magic, 4 Sense, 1 Charm) (Glass Cannon)
- This build is the "glass cannon" build. Having a 1 in Charm means you have
less defensive abilities. But with that 4 in Sense, this is the most offensive
out of the builds.
4132 (Consists of: 4 Power, 1 Magic, 3 Sense, 2 Charm)
- This build is similar to 4141, but instead of having a 4 in Sense, you have
a 3. So you ditch a little bit of offense, for some defense. It is a fairly
decent build. Good if you have the gears for it.
4123 (Consists of: 4 Power, 1 Magic, 2 Sense, 3 Charm)
- This build, in my opinion, is one of the least offensive of the builds. You
have decent defense, and your Sense is pretty good as well.
4114 (Consists of: 4 Power, 1 Magic, 1 Sense, 4 Charm)
- This build, in my opinion is the least offensive of the builds. You have
great defence, but your Sense sucks.
Growth:
Where to put your points in? Well here's the list of common ones(not counting dx):
Code:
Pure AP: This provides better damage.
Pure AC: Better accuracy. Not recommended unless you are a Bunny or wish to
PvP/GvG.
Pure DX: Not recommended at all, this only really helps in very very very few
occasions.
Pure HP: If you feel you need more health you should pick this one.
Hybrid HP: I guess it's recommended if you kind of want more hp/ want to
go to pvp.
Hybrid WT: This one was made because.. buffs choose 4114 build which
makes them lose tons of weight they could of had.
[C1] Training Guide Note: As I get stronger, I'll start putting in more detailed parts for the training guide. Also, this is basically a walk-through.

Tori's right I've seen a couple high level pure HP buffs (They were 4141), the guide seems to be going on pretty well. Even though it needs a lot of work still

well.. as i have read it.. it is stated "builds" only.. and he did not put any info on where to place the bonus points. We can clearly say that any class that chooses 4141 as a build is a glass cannon. it will be a different thing if it will be stated as 4141 pure HP and etc..
though he stated a growth of ap, ac and dx...
Quote:

you could state both the positive and negative.. not only one side of it ^^

He said "Pure AP / Pure AC / Pure DX". I cannot think of anything it could imply other than where to put one's bonus points into. We're just giving him suggestions of other ways that are gaining popularity~

I think I may have to work on more then that, because I'm only Level 86 in game, so I definitely need help on the TM/training guide.. Anyone want to offer advice on how to improve the training guide?
Gray, for Power-types, specifically Pure Buffalo, there really is one answer, and that's Pure AP. Pure AC doesn't really fly as there are no skills that have AC as a base, and with the HV-nerf, doubt your going to be missing many people. Pure DX is really for Shadow, but other than that it's really limited in usefulness.
@Sombre: I really can't help much with the leveling. I leveled my Buffalo eons (like when Ghost Blue was a newbie area) ago.
For levels 60-70 Mermaid Field 4 worked for my Buffalo (Using elements and decent AP gear) There's a safe spot and an Item Girl in that very same map. Punishers shouldn't be a problem at all. (Note: I asked a friend to make an AFK party for me)
I haven't tried this but I think 70-80 at Mermaid Dungeon 1 is viable aswell. The spawn is great. The place is really mobby. There's a little safe spot (For 5 people I think) right behind the portal. I think this is a great training spot.
I should tell you that hybrid builds are becoming popular, such as hybrid WT or hybrid HP builds (and pure HP builds)~
This. Ive been working on a bunny lately. Its 4114, but rather than a pure build, I opted to try out 3AP:1WT. I must say, Im really loving the points to WT. The AP I lose out on I can easily make up with an accessory or something.
Like, lets use Lv210 as an example, since thats my prime goal atm, for my Bika gear :x
A 4114 power at Lv210, pure AP, would have roughly 1690 base AP, and 4860 base WT.
A 4114 Lv210 power, with a hybrid 3AP:1WT build would have about 1478 base AP, and 9020 base WT.
Thats nearly double the WT of a pure AP 4114, with a loss of only 212AP.
All in all, I say its a win-win, if you want to go 4114, and are concerned about the WT issue.
im a lvl 238 glad pure AP 4123, and i was curious if my AP was high enough from my equips like around 8-9k would it be silly get my pts back and put them else where like HP or HV. since i would lose around 1k base AP is it worth it? and does anyone know what my base HP or HV would be if i went pure HV or HP
In my opinion pure HP or pure WT would be a smart choice, HV isn't really that great. If you want to know what your HP would be or how much WT you'd have, use this Syler ...
iCanPostHere thats a massive help! Thanks alot, i get 7k extra HP and 19k extra WT for pure of either......and lose around 940 AP....do you think its worth the loss?
I think it's very much worth sacrificing those 940 AP for either 19k WT or 7k HP. You can easily make up that 940 AP with 2 decent accesories or a cape and an accesorie. While to gain 7k HP you'd need a very godly shield and for 19k WT a Myshop pouch.
Some people like the extra LK. If you have no preference, and can easily make up that 200 AP, which shouldn't be too hard, then you should go 4114. If not, 4123.
