Default DarkManticore's Bunuffalo or Buffy guide (Hybrid powers)

Version 2.3 ( Originally was meant for MT)

Table of Contents (use Ctrl+F to get the section you need)

1. Theory behind Bunny and Buffalo
1a. The similarities and differences

2. The skill set of the two
2a. Bunny
2b. Buffalo

3. Job Advancement
3a. 2nd Job
3b. 3rd job

4. Recommended Skill Tree's
4a. Uppercut/Lacerator Duelist/Mercenary
4b. Tetra/Piercing wave Duelist/Mercenary

1.Theory behind Bunny and Buffalo.

Buffalo's are meant to be masters and elemental sword techniques. Possibly a perfect complement to sheeps and the bane of foxes existence. Bunnies are meant to be 1 on 1 MASTERS. All there skills are single target when it comes to raw damage bunnies are unmatched. They are meant to be weaker than dragons and stronger than lions. Depending on your playing style and mentality one of these characters may suit you.

1a. Similarities and Differences between the two.

Buffalo's are normally shown in the best light in a PvE environment. While, Bunnies are generally shown in the best light in a PvP type of environment. Hybrid Powers take that path because you become a jack-of-all-trades type character. Strong AoE sword skills and wonderful 1 on 1 skills.

2. The skill set of both.

Power Types in there 1st job share that same skills but the order in which you learn is very much different. (Since this an Hybrid Guide the skill tree suggestions will be further down the guide.)

2a. Bunny

Bunnies skills focus on powerful single target skills.

As a bunny it would smart to learn Burning rave at Tmlvl 20 (master that as soon as possible) Then make sure you get Bulls Eye to lvl 10. You can learn Bulls Eye at TM 10. At Tmlvl 25 you are to learn Pumping Heart and master it almost as soon as you can. Then at Tmlvl 40 you can learn UpperSmash (needs level 10 Bulls Eye), After that you can learn 1 buff or 4 debuffs: Hyber Beat Tmlvl 50, Shockvibe, Luck breaker, Sense Breaker (all 3 are Tmlvl 20) Armor Breaker is Tmlvl 30

2b. Buffalos

Buffalo skills are meant to hit multiple targets.

As for Buffalos it would be wise to save as much Tm as you can. So in your first job learn Shockwave at Tmlvl 1 master it because you will be using it for quite some time. After that, Learn Bulls Eye at Tmlvl 10, then learn Pumping Heart at Tmlvl 25. If you want an extra attack skill then you can learn Burning Rave. Depending on which skill tree you choose you can learn Hyber Beat Tmlvl 50 or your four debuffs.

I don't know much about Tornado Bomb Tmlvl 50 3 learn/ 3 master to say whether to learn it or not. I only know one person to have ever learn the skill so until someone tells me otherwise don't learn it save the TM as a future Hybrid you'll need it.

3. Job Advancement

Job Advancement is a big part in the development of your character. Bunnies go from Schoolgirl(1st) to Boxer(2nd) to Champion(3rd Pure) and/or Duelist (3rd Hybrid what you are aiming for)

Buffalos go from fighter(1st) to Warrior(2nd) to Gladiator(3rd Pure) and/or Mercenary(3rd Hybrid what you are aiming for.)

3a. 2nd Job

In order to get to 2nd job status you need to get to lvl 50/ TMlvl 40. Along with that you need a 1 million galder check (acquired from Andrew in Mega. Bank) and a character badge (Bunny= Brave Bunny badge, Buffalo= Strong Buffalo Badge) Both are dropped by Kaboom in Relics Dungeon 4.

3b. 3rd Job

For Bunnies the only thing you need to get to be a Duelist that Buffalos don't is Jade (Dropped by Mud Bigfoot in Swamp Field 6)

Hybrid Buffalo's need Oynx (dropped by Bugbears in Path to Snow Hill)

You need to be lvl 130/ TMlvl 120

The items you need are:

1 Harkon, (Snow Mine Quest-Precious Jewel)
1 Ticket of the Vailent (dropped by Clurican in Azteca closed lot)
1 Sacred Water (drilled in any swamp field including path to swamp)
3 1 million galder checks (Brought from Andrew in Mega Bank)
3 Glass Pieces (dropped by Snow Kids in Snow Field 1)
3 Magnemites (dropped by Iron Knights in Vamp Castle 2-3)
3 Brass (dropped by Brass Knights in Vamp Castle 3-4)
3 Magic Powders (dropped by Bone Magician in Vamp Dungeon 4-5)

You begin the quest in the skill shrine in Mega. Talk to the door.

Nice, but I would request you change the color of the boxer skills D; Its kind of bright, I had to highlight to read it properly. Should probably darken 3a as well, it blends in with the forum background.

Personally, I would recommend taking out Aura of Haste and Blazing Strike. Both are relatively useless in a PvM environment, and even if you get it just for Shadow, with elemental gears, the Elemental AoE skill would probably be stronger.

Well this guide is for mercenary, so technically, they shouldn't consider shadow as a skill o.o

I wasn't saying learn BS and Aura o Haste as i stated that's normally for glad's. This is a hybrid guide. I just listed them there because I was listing all the Warrior skills. So Yeah. I agree that Blazing and aura of haste isn't very good anymore just cool looking.
