Last year, The Pokémon Company gave away a special Mewtwo for a limited time over Wi-Fi to Pokémon Black/White owners in Japan. Now, that giveaway event is headed to North America.

Starting February 12th, The Pokémon Company will begin distributing Mewtwo over Wi-Fi for Black/White owners. The giveaway page specifies that the special Mewtwo will come with a move that he can’t normally learn, so it does seem like this is the same as the Japanese giveaway, where Mewtwo came with Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere, and Electro Ball.

In the Japanese giveaway, Mewtwo was at level 70 and carried a King’s Rock, which gives you a higher chance of making the opponent flinch.

Hahaha, I guess they've finally ran out of colours.

Pretty disappointed that the game might stay in Unova, I felt that the world map was pretty uninspiring.

EDIT: Although, it would be pretty wizard if they did the G/S/C thing and allowed you to explore two regions (the new one and Unova).

EDIT EDIT: Yes another edit. I definitely have a hunch that this is going to be the new G/S/C considering how Black/White signalled the Pokemon series' "rebirth".

Pretty excited for this. Since direct sequels are a first for the Pokemon main-series games, this really caught my attention.

Well, I'm rather glad it's for the DS, as I can't afford a 3DS... And it would be nice if it continued the story, hopefully we'll see N again, liked the character.

Gosh, this is going to be awesome...

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time that happens with Pokémon, aye? That's the first time that a Generation gets a sequel, with the possible exeptions of Colosseum and Stadium, of course.

My opinion is that they're going to try something completely new. Maybe they'll take away the Gym/League stuff and add some much deeper storyline and gameplay just like Colosseum and X.D.

And that will very probably make the people who said that "Pokémon was going downhill" change their thoughts. I mean, for a sequel, the obvious they can do is fix all the possible faults and errors that were on the previous game.

I have some high and positive expectations about this one.

I would consider GSC to be an implied sequel to RBY. It's not as explicit as Black-2, however the story basically starts off a few years after RBY.

I don't hope for no League. :x It's the staple of handheld Pokemon games. While it'd be quite the shake-up, it's also quite the risk for them to do it since the franchise is in a decaying state.

I do recall G/S/C being called Pocket Monsters 2 back in Japan in its early days.

"Pokémon Grey" was just a rumor people created short after the release of Black & White, pretending to be the famous mix of both. It was never really announced, I doubt it's going to happen.

Black & White 2, though, was already announced - even with its release date - on the official websites and on very reliable others.
