Tournaments? Date finally set for the first game.
Hm. This is just a general interest thread. Due to the fact that its very hard to find a decent tournament room these days (with hackers and all that), I was thinking. We should make one, without having to worry about tournaments. In plain English, organizing tournaments here, for /ggftw members. If they so desired to play. Here is MY proposal. (Feel free to post your own).
Tournaments on a weekly basis, for fun.
Room will be passworded, and a password will be posted here, to access the room.
Courses:
Course will be random, to avoid any disagreements, unless you guys want to have a chart set in place. Like...
Week 1--Ice Spa
Week 2--Silvia Cannon
So on, so forth.
Of course, me being a college student and all, can not afford any prizes (or real world prizes), for players. I could probably gather up some Pang playing LS (after I rehire Cadie/Brie), and send you a Pang clubset, if you desired. If we have prizes.
The server would be whatever FREE server is at the bottom. Like...Titan Boo or Dolfini. Free 1. This is to minimize potential disconnects.
Obviously, speaking English is required.
Room would be titled something like ggftw or something.
Those are just my poorly laid out thoughts. What would you guys think about something like this?
Update. I will attempt to do a tournament in the upcoming weeks. Throw out some courses and a time, and we will see how this works out.
Update the second:
First tournament will be Feburary 20th. It will be held on Pink Wind.

Well, I'll also pitch in a little for prizing, if push comes to shove. Perhaps... buy the winner some comets for their troubles? It's a small contribution. *bows*

Well, since I don't really need to worry about Brazil anymore, I figured I would announce a few changes. I've thought about it for a long while. Here is what I plan to do.
We will have a "season" of sorts. To assist in this business, we will have 5~8 tournaments each "season". No matter how you place, you get a score. It would be set up like this:
10 points for first
9 for second
8 for third
7 for fourth, so on so forth.
That is a 10 person round. I would figure something out if we had more people playing. Here is a mock spreadsheet of how a leaderboard would look.

I'm not IMG tagging it for obvious reasons. Prizes are TBD. Also, signups will still be here, to prevent people from just hopping in and such. Room will be passworded, of course. Password changes every game.

I'm Brazilian, but i swear i won't be aff'ing. lol
