Last night was the first legitimate night we all were able to show up for ToT, and we downed the first boss about about 2 hours. We managed to get through the first 2 doors, pushing into the 3rd door of Horridon. Got myself the healy sword from Jin, so I'm pretty happy. That, and we're running it again tomorrow night to work on Horridon more.
Such a pretty add-on, but I'm not even sure what to use it for--
When I played, I used OPie lots. I find that it was good for professions (don't have to be on your bars anymore) and various buffs/summons. Utility skills are also nice (healthstone, portals for mages, etc) Otherwise, it is a bit annoying to do every time in PvP for like auras and forms.
sounds kinda dumb, for people who want to do 25 but have a hard time getting people to log in, gives people an excuse to not show and get no flack for it.
It's gonna be on a different lockout than regular 10/25M runs.
This new difficulty also has a separate Raid lockout from Raid Finder and Normal difficulty, allowing you to take part in all three if you so desire. You’ll also be able to complete portions of your “Glory of the Orgrimmar Raider” raid meta- achievement in Flexible mode as well as in Normal or Heroic to earn cosmetic rewards such as an epic mount. This will allow Raid groups the opportunity to switch off nights between raids to complete achievements. Finally, taking part in Flexible, Normal, or Heroic difficulty will provide access to additional rewards that won’t be available in Raid Finder.
The more I think about it and the whole "low population servers get no love" idea, I think it's a good implementation. The problem is that there also exists LFR which kinda does the same thing only in a more "I don't want to think at all, just get cool loots" kind of way. Flexible raiding would be awesome if there just wasn't LFR imo.
We downed Council after 2 more attempts today, so that was awesome. Now we're working on Tortos and ugh. I don't like healing this one bit. Our two main healers are me on Holy Paladin and our Disc Priest. We've been rotating cooldowns (my Devotion Aura and her Spirit Shell), but after the Quakes we just can't get enough raid heals pumped out to get through the falling stalactites. Watching this PoV video, I think we're popping the cooldowns for Quake when we should be using them for the stalactites -- is this right?
We tried 3-healing with a Resto Shaman and we managed to get Tortos down to about 70% with HTT and his Chain Heal+Spiritwalker's, luckily, to get us through the falling rocks but then those spinning turtles just get a bit too out-of-control for us and then he ends up going down and then we can't get through another or whatever.
We also tried with a MW Monk as our third heal and it went alright (until she got a bit too drunk and then-- omfg it was hilarious).
She thought she was supposed to be DPSing and then she went on and on venting about how much she sucks because she didn't even do her job eve though she was supposed to be healing. And then she thought she was healing when she was supposed to be DPSing but she really was DPSing when she was supposed to be DPSing and ... it was a lot more funny if you were listening in on it. We had to take a 5 minute breather because of that.
waHahAHahAHaa. i know no one else really plays this but i'm really excited and want to bump.
2 months later (and a 3-week break), I go from progressing on Tortos to progressing on Lei Shen. I was also the first person in my group to grab the Legendary Cloak, and now we've got 2 others with it, too. I'm also the most thunderforged out of my entire guild, so my new nickname is "thunder-****er."
