omg i just did shado-pan monastary dungeon yesterday and it was actually kind of difficult to do cause we only had an undergeared mage as our rDPS.


Most fun I've had wiping for a good 20 minutes.

LFR hurts when you're still geared with a 429 healing axe.
Why the hell is it an AXE? Like, I had to go out and spend hours looking up axe-mogs.

Anyway, all-night studying for tomorrow's exam today so I'm getting absolutely no dailies done. Then tomorrow I've gotta study for a test the next morning. SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK.


But my raid group does want to try a dab at tackling MSV tomorrow night, so hopefully I (or at least the other heals) are properly geared for it. Otherwise, we're cleaning up heroic DS and taking a few stabs at heroic dungeon finder runs for gears.

TAY-TAY I NEED HELP.
What do I change? Should I change anything?
I know my gear isn't that awesome right now, especially with me slacking off on daily quests but it's the best I've come up with. Slowly getting to 370. Was wondering if you think Mastery would be a good idea to stalk since I want to squeeze every bit of mana effectiveness without having to rely on crits too much. My heals are pumping out at about a 2.2 sec cast (down to 1.5~ when hit if procc'd), with 30-35k on normal heals and 60-70k on my Divine Light (Holy Shock about 25-30k, and getting to 60-65k on crits). Also, what are your thoughts on my talent build?

You only need like 460-463 to do MSV. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to make up for people being bad.

Dare's Simple Guide to Optimizing Your Character

Download SimulationCraft
Use SimulationCraft
In the User Interface, go to the tab options
Set Iterations to 10000
Set Threads to the amount of cores your processor has
In options, go to scaling. Analyze all stats.
Simulate your character.

In the results, use your stat weights in a website like Ask Mr Robot
Input your custom stat weights
If AskMrRobot asks you to use a Sha Crystal enchanting pattern, just lock a current MoP one.
Do everything it tells you to do.

Congrats! Your toon is 100% optimized for your current gear.

Now do this every time you get an upgrade.

And SimCraft is broken for you atm, but this is how you want to optimize gear. In the meantime, you can use AskMr with the shitty generic weights.

Overall, I enjoy it very much.
Even with all the dailies, I still find myself enjoying the 2-odd (weekday) hours I'm able to play on a regular basis.

That's good! The only problem I have with it atm is just that I don't have any high leveled chars except for my rogue, and I've heard that they aren't that great atm.

My advice is to either just level yourself a Monk or just play your Rogue to experience the new contents and stuff. If you're just going to play for those 10-days, might as well make the most of it and not worry about things that you would worry about long-term.

I'm playing my warr atm, and I know what you mean, but fury basically feels like a rogue atm. I do have the scroll of ress warr on your server tho, so maybe i should level that one instead. But ugh pve serversss

Will take that into consideration tho.

I think I just like classes/specs that are gcd capped for their spells, so its more faceroll-y
