Gene Simmons has mentioned Lady Gaga in a new interview. He said: “There’s a lot of bands that have something. What’s missing is stardom, the ability to get up on stage and pull… bigger than life. Stars, there are no stars, there’s no Elvis, you know, even Prince. Stage presence? None of the bands have it. They look like garbage collectors. I’m serious, they look worse than the audience that comes to see them. They don’t dress up for the stage, there’s no pride, they’re not stars. They’re in bands! The only new rock star is Lady Gaga, and that’s it.”
Kiss’ upcoming 20th studio album, titled Monster, is set to be released in October.
Lady Gaga has shared new details about her upcoming fourth studio album. “It’s a bit more modern,” she said of ARTPOP on her social networking site Little Monsters. “You never know if radio is ready.” The singer also revealed that the album will be released in two volumes: “I can’t decide how to tracklist it yet. Sort of thinking that vol. 1 should have all the commercial songs and save the experimental material for vol. 2.”
A digital app for ARTPOP is also in the works: “The app is coming along amazing. I’m flying back to Chicago to work on it. The developers on ARTPOP are all like 22 and genius kids. You’d be surprised how many genius little monsters there are.”
Gaga is currently working on ARTPOP with DJ White Shadow (“Bloody Mary”, “Government Hooker”), Fernando Garibay (“Marry The Night”, “The Edge of Glory”) and RedOne (“Poker Face”, “Bad Romance”, “Judas”), as well as new producers Zedd and Madeon. The highly-anticipated record will hit stores early next year.
Lady Gaga has unveiled the track listing to her upcoming album ARTPOP with the help of her fans. “To announce the tracklist I’ve commissioned a mural by my most dedicated Los Angeles fans,” she tweeted. “Known as the LA Rivington Rebels, they’ve been sleeping outside of my studio for a month! Sleeping bags, booze and all.”
ARTPOP, which will be hitting stores on November 11th, features productions by DJ White Shadow, Zedd, Madeon, Rick Rubin (“DOPE”), and will.i.am (“Fashion!”).

On Wednesday, Best Buy premiered a new commercial for Beats by Dr. Dre which features “Do What U Want,” Lady Gaga’s new song featuring R. Kelly. The song, produced by DJ White Shadow, will serve as the first promotional single from ARTPOP and will be available for purchase on October 21st in North America (October 22nd worldwide).
Later that week, Gaga will send “Venus”, the official second ARTPOP single which she describes as “sexy, fun, and loud,” to radio stations worldwide. The track is set to go on sale on October 27th.
The third yet-to-be-announced promo song will be released on November 4th, just a week before ARTPOP drops.
“ARTPOP trips from ‘genre to genre’ with a soulful electronic narrative,” a new promo reads. “For the next three weeks leading up to its Nov 11 release, Streamline/Interscope Records will release three songs for fans as a preview of what’s to come! One song will be released each week to highlight Gaga’s creative and music evolution on the album, we are proud to release this authentic and bold piece of music.”
I really liked her performance mashup of two of her new songs, Venus and Do What U Want on last week's X Factor UK.
She wore Flesh coloured knickers and a flesh coloured bra with shells over her breasts then for Do What U Want, took her wig off and the shells off. Apparently it was far too raunchy for family viewers but I completely disagree.
Here's a picture for those who haven't seen what she wore by the end of the performance;
(Possibly NSFW, but it isn't all that to be honest)
