A simfile is a term used to refer to a folder with a .sm or .dwi file in it as well as a music file and (optionally) a banner, background, video, and various other things.

In other words, it's what you put in your stepmania folder to be able to play the song you downloaded.

I think around December 07, they made it impossible to download files but then some people posted a way to download it. It worked when I used that alternative way to download music files from esnips but then esnips.com deleted it ;o.... However, people who upload songs have a choice to make it downloadable. I just try to find songs that are downloadable and download them.

You have to sign up, but then you can download that and a ton of other songs... it's where I get all my songs :x

I actually use livejournal for most of my j&k-music downloading needs. There are a TON of music sharing communities there, and they are pretty much a constant feed of new releases and sometimes older stuff. You have to make an account to join the communities, but it's well worth it.

JC, only thing I can complain about it is that it only has songs from popular bands/singers.

I use a url converter that forces the download.

I was talking about this thing where you find the page source and then by searching this specific word or something (I can't remember it), you find the download link. They had just hidden it, not completely removed it. And o_O... Do you mind telling me the url converter that forces the download, as in how to get it?

I first search for songs that sounds good from random Youtube lurking.
Then I do some Google searching (e.g. Supload, Mininova) to find that song.
I also use Limewire but to me, it's kind of slow and full of ebil cookies.
