song is called "The Arcade Fire - Wake Up"
I'm not sure why but the trailer seems to bring out one of those "sad" feelings. Might just be me. And thats some really good CG.
when i first saw this trailer i thought two things
"wtf how did they make an epic looking movie out of 10 pages"
and
"omg it's arcade fire!!!"
i love arcade fire. not sure if i'm going to see this.
i'm pretty sure if i were a kid i wouldn't like it. it seems like it just appeals to an older audience... like the audience of people who used to like this book as kids and are now grown up.
Self-marketing movie for teens with no redeeming value. I loved the book as a kid but I can't see this movie being good for anything besides teens 15-18 and cheap dates. I expect the merchandise (clothes, bags, pins) will make more income than the film itself.

I agree with pedro. xD
Also that I had mixed feelings when I first saw the trailer. I thought they we're going to destroy a really good book that I loved when I was a kid with the movie.
the song definintely gives me a feeling of... sadness and nostalgia for some reason D: I totally get what you mean. I might rent the movie

Am I the only one who doesn't care for this solely because he never read the book as a child?
Now when they make a movie out of goodnight moon, then you can call me.
I never read the book as a child but when I saw the trailer for it at the movies I went "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", already read the book so it should be fairly interesting. I have hopes it'll be a good movie.

It could be because the song is actually about growing up and becoming cold, forgetting about the lightness at heart from being a child.
If they could make a full length movie about a 10 page book, they can make something out of goodnight moon.
yeah i still don't get how they managed to make where the wild things are a movie...

Great childhood movie <3 I would've liked it better if I remembered what the book was about. I was confused through the movie a lot. I NEED TO RE-READ THAT BOOK!! D:
