i looked around and i hear stories of newegg replacing almost anything, even when it was user's fault (of course the user didn't admit that)

lol..hopefully they don't discover it's user's fault...since mostly I heard about RMA, warranty stuff they doesn't include user fault, short-circuit o_o; ..well, for here at least.
Not sure about newegg's rma/warranty policies over there.

i mailed the hdd back today
they paid for the shipping label
hopefully, they send me a replacement
from what i've heard, i probably will
