I tried logging just to see, because my friend told me the same thing. However, it seems the lag has not improved for me, but yes they fixed the ladder issue.
I think they make the ladders more sensitive or something?

I was indeed very surprised when I tried running jump and succeded.
Hell, I was even able to ladder skip!!11 (;_; )

Well apparently they say they fixed the lag with run-grab issues and such in the patch today.
