yeah, sometimes there's minor story differences (in BW2, White 2 players venture through an active volcano, Black 2 wander through the dormant one, with water replacing the lava), otherwise they're identical, always a small batch of pokemon not available in the other version though.

Usually up to like 6 or so Pokemon are exclusive to each game. Like in b/w, solosis was in white whereas gothita only available in black (or maybe the other way around). It's just there to encourage trading.
