Off to 3rd language... so, French or Japanese?
Won't study Kanji, and will study Hiragana and Katakana only after I feel like doing so >__>

You can't study Japanese without going into Kanji...

If going Jap, I know a ton of complex titles, chara names, and etc. can only be read in kanji...

I would suggest it, but then again I do not have guts to learn them fluently. (And because i'm just focusing on drawing/future animator..)

Well kanji are spelled, I'll go mostly for speech, won't focus on writting.

...and reading? My sis looked at her Japanese Tsubasa manga one day, and half of the text there is in kanji...

Anyway I vote French... I never tried it, but I hope it's not as crazy as Jap... Well it depends. (I'm a lazy learner.)

I guess japanese is harder 'cause of writting/reading and kanji, I'd go for french just to help more at career I guess, just one more option in case I go to Europe, japanese would be for the lulz and anime, no kanji for now. And I can get "My *insertlanguagehere* Coach" for DS as a support to IRL classes.

French if you really can't be bothered with kanji. Japanese (at least the writing/reading aspect) is just hopeless if you don't learn kanji.

I voted French. D; I think too many people are too obsessed with the Japanese culture and language, like my RL friends, they're obsessed with it. I tend to not to go with things that people around me like so, I vote against that. >:

French seems more easier to learn, too. And it sounds awesome 83

Some french hip hop sound cool, and I'm interested in japanese mostly for the speech, I'm not that interested in living there or staying there for more than a month, they have high suicidal percentages and don't take madness and other mental disorders "seriously" 'cause they believe in karma (then the mad person is paying for something he/she did) - though I believe this is slowly changing, and it's not every single japanese, of course. Food is just a bonus, though I tasted a few stuff and didn't like it.
I'd try german instead of french, or both.

I took 3 semesters of Japanese in college, and personally it wasn't too hard. I managed to learn Katakana and Hiragana without really sitting down to learn it. The kanji is a ***** though, but if you take it slow, I can't imagine it being that bad. Sentence structure isn't terribly difficult to get down. The hardest part I had with it, was simply remembering what words meant. But you might find that easy, who knows.

I voted Japanese, but try both and see which one you like better. I think that'd better than any advice (although the advice is still nice too!)

I voted for Japanese o,o
Reasons:

I totally failed my french lessons. Which was because i never learned any languages at school before. I learned all langauges I know at home @.@ then when it finally came to learning one for school.. i was like.... ok, how to learn a language o_O
I pretty much screwed up and I guess - if Ill ever learn a language again it would be privat - not at school D:
Funny though - some of the languages i would like to learn later on ARE French and Japanese.
Id prefer Japanese though because I like asian - specially japanese - cultures.
And no its not cause of anime/manga etc. I find it super annoying how ppl go "uh you just like it cuse of manga <_<"
Infact, i liked it before i knew what manga is.
I generelly find cultures like asians, american natives, egypt etc interesting. Rather the old ones though :3 same goes for all though - yay for old stuff x_x~ besides pc <3
