Default Darkness Attribute Comping

I'm a dark dragon and I was wondering if it's better to comp dark attr or ma onto an item if both are available. I already have 99% dark attr weapon and the item in question gives 30% already. Thanks for any responses.

Just out of curiosity, is it the timed Dark Ring from myshop? Anyways, Dark Attribute is always best since it gives a much higher boost than MA. You'll do less damage with third job skills which aren't affected by Dark Attribute, but you'll do a lot more damage with Scythe and Lance.

It's actually the dragon ring accessory from having the Azhi pet.

Depends on (1) if you're going Dark Lord and (2) if you plan to use Staff/Scythe a lot as a Dark Lord.

If you answer yes to both 1 and 2, then go with Dark ATR since Staff/Scythe rely on Dark ATR to determine Damage. If you answer no to either of those, go with MA since it will increase Damage to all of your 1st and 2nd Class Skills and you can always use Dark Commando Later on to compensate for the Damage Differential.
