Pioneers of Iria - A good idea?

Just wanted your thoughts on the new big upcoming patch.
Would all the new free content such as free mainstream, new races, free rebirths and such make you want to play Mabi again?

IMO it opens the game up to more people who cannot pay to have the full advantages of the game and enjoy the full Mabinogi experience

To my knowledge, its permanent.

And yes, I think it's a good idea. I think the game was approaching a point where the only way to survive or succeed was to buy their stuff.

I think releasing 3 generation worth of patches will be a disaster.
Look at NEXON's history on releasing small patches. Its still filled with bugs.

Now imagine 4 weeks of free player PVP on ALL THE MAPS in Erinn and Iria...

i think its good
it will get more people to play which mabi needs
if you have been looking around carefully for the past 2 months or so the player base is growing smaller and many have let their services expire
at least with free rb we can all still play without paying any fees and any new people will stick around longer

Think about it this way.

Generation 4 is basically JUST Iria, dual wield, and final hit. Yes the new continent is exciting, but not really amazing.

Generation 5 is elves. Hooray. ._.

Generation 6 is giants. omfsk yay. ._.

Generation 7 is elf + giant transformation, + random crap. Yes, that's right, we get a touch of G7 too.

Not alot of excitement between G4-G7, so putting it all together was Nexon America's only real way of maintaining the ADHD children of America's interest for the next couple of months.

Also, PvP is easily turned off. If you turn it on, then you should know what you're getting in to.
