That, and just wait until guilds take the castles.
Tax Rate, 90%! Yeah!
In regards to this post of mine...
Amazingly, the taxes are 10% in Sen Mag, and 20% in Dugald, these coming from the guilds that have taken over after the GMs in the Tarlach server.
I got a house in Sen Mag, since I had near 1m, and some money to spare on it.
I don't think I'll ever get a house again though.
Despite the 10% tax, I'm paying 39k a week, which comes out to 156k after the months lease ends, and I bid 205k on a 190k min bid house, and since you only get 90% of your bid deposit back, I'll only be getting 184k back. I pretty much spent 21k+156k=177k on a house, plus the costs of furniture I bought.
In the end, it's just not worth the money.
Perhaps if I had won one of the cheaper houses, maybe, but the amount I'll have spent on my house at the end of the lease is just too much.
Still, if I keep up with my dungeon runs, I'll make plenty of gold to pay my taxes, but thats money that could be stacking up in my bank.
