Random Lowered FPS.

So this week everyone started complaining about lag in Lunia, so I thought it was just lag. But when I restarted lunia it was gone again. (I can also just go to the character selection screen and it goes away).

It happens at random times when I"m in a stage one minute everything is smooth and fine, then the next the fps lowers for no reason and I can't hardly move or do anything. I'm pretty sure it's not lag because my other computer is just fine. This only happens on my laptop.

(And yes I've already tried using lowest settings but it still happens.)

Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix this? ._.

dont block teh built-in fan! that was the reason for my fps drops, atleast...
its either that, or ur computer cant handle teh looniasz

Try cleaning up any other games on your laptop. They take a crapload of space(Lunia alone is 2GB hard drive with all patches).
Then defrag maybe will help.

And what Gella said, don't block your laptop fan. Overheat = big boom = set pants on fire = NOT GOOD

Hm well Lunia is the only game I have on this laptop and the fan isn't blocked it's sitting on a table with room underneath it.

I ran scans, defragged, and clean ups, but it's still doing it.....

Well, my comp randomly gives me giant lag where every time i move, it lags. It gets so i cant pvp anymore so...i cant rly help you. Try clearing out your hard drive...delete any unneeded programs.

for me, most of my lag is connection based. like, when my wireless signal is too low I laggg/teleport/delay/disconnect ;(

I can actually tell the difference between slow computer lag (too many programs running) and connection-based lag lol. but since yours fixes when you go to character select, it must not be connection-based.

The only thing I can think is it's either my distance from the servers or Vista....

It's not just you, I'm getting twice as much lag as normal.

But I dont think it's lag. Because if I go to the character select screen then back to the square it's gone. (Unless lag can do this and I didn't know about it O_o)

The reason you randomly lag is that 3D Models are being created. Those bosses you see in stages, aren't sitting there waiting for you. They are actually loaded seconds before you enter the room. This is shorten memory usage and stage load times. Unfortunately it results in minor FPS drops. Of course it is simply only a small drop right? Anything longer than a few seconds should make you consider lowering your graphic quality.

Yeah it keeps "lagging" or w/e it is until I go out to the character select screen or relog entirely. I wish it was just a few seconds T_T
