Default Clarification on melee restriction

A lot of people don't seem to be able to grasp the way things were worded, which is fine: here's some concrete examples to help.

...tbh I'm not actually 100% sure all of these examples work, but try to get around that and just take away how things are repeated.

Each individual string is bracketed.
Listed combos become illegal at the bolded hit.
Shifting/halfdashing or other forms of delay cancel are assumed and only noted if necessary for clarification.

the word consecutive does not belong in there

more like Dacy and Lime are the least familiar classes for me and the least air-combo intensive, so I don't really know of anything that ought to be restricted for them. You're welcome to mention specific stuff if you'd like clarification though.

Why isn't dAS counted as a string?
Since it isn't considered a string, why are 3x dA or dAS's considered illegal.
If it is considered a string, why is the listed Dainn combos illegal?

dAS isn't counted because of an oversight during revision.

Sieg windmill and Eir dAS S-cancel are covered in a separate rule.

The listed Dainn combo becomes illegal at the 3rd repetition of AA; IA does not count as a skill since it doesn't hit anything.

there is an air combo just no one does it. saw KL lime do it... it's an infinite that's extremely hard to do and does quite a lot of dmg

Mostly? Shuriken cancels. If skill-canceling things without hitting counted, those would be a problem.

Just for reference, there is no limit to the amount of times you can use skill-cancels though, unlike other skills.

@kck: this is my attempt to clarify the rules. I cannot change the rules themselves; all I can do is interpret their intent [not hard to do, given that I wrote most of them to begin with].
