Ktest

Why is a freakin' KSSN required to play Ktest? In my opinion, anyone should be able to play it, since it tests stuff. Only Korean Lunia (official) should have KSSN. Ktest is for testing, so the more people that test it means more input, more discoveries, etc.

So WHY, why for the love of JEBUS are Ktest account registered required to have a KSSN TO register it? >_>

All games require a KSSN, its required by law.
So no matter what server it is, you must have it.

Not to mention, You are signing up for a Nexon Account, which has access to all servers, not just ktest.

Actually, BUGS gaming (Google it) is a Korean Based gaming company. I managed to register without a KSSN and have no issues. I'm assuming I was able to because of BUGS gaming policy which states that Foreigners may play the game, you just have to specify if you are or not. Otherwise, it's a Korean Game. They don't want other people outside of they're countries joining. If they did, they would be like BUGS and allow foreigners.

Oh. o.o But I don't remember having to enter a KSSN for signing up on Glunia/Tlunia/Jlunia. :3

Because they are not hosted in Korea.
There is no law.

@Lime: Perhaps I should not have said All, yes there are some that have Foreigner sign-ups allowed, but they are usually the only exception.

Nyo Horokime 09-22-2008 01:03 PM

Oh. Any games in Korea are required to have a KSSN since it's a law in Korea. I see.

Lunar 09-22-2008 01:12 PM

its nexon's law... some games require kssn but u can put fake ones and it'll work
nexon requires to have real kssn's and u have to verify them

Kreig 09-22-2008 01:26 PM

So? If you'd PM me the way, I'd spend all my time bypassing it. Or trying to. >.>

You would be going against the law, and could get arrested if caught. (Yes it does happen)
Although that usually won't stop people anyway.

Nyo Horokime 09-22-2008 01:47 PM

How would someone from Korea know that I was breaking the law, me living in USA, Korea being 2375127604816258614501942365 light years away from USA, me being arrested?

Kreig 09-22-2008 01:48 PM

your IP i guess xD

CursedScar 09-22-2008 02:14 PM

It would be way to expensive an impractical to arrest someone for something as small as that. Although you'd get a good warning and probably be suspended from further activity in Korea.

Identity Theft is still stealing, so who cares what distance it is. (Its still a serious crime, even if it seems small)
There is no problem with law enforcement arresting you, and sending you to that country.

i dont think they do antyhing for the small stuff.. it's if u happen to use a KSSN of a criminal or something then ur done for

007 09-22-2008 02:39 PM

now also if your using the kssn to purchase stuff or sign up for stuff or even trying to be that person then there is another issue lol

Griever 09-22-2008 04:18 PM

The reason you need a KSSN for Nexon games now is because a long time ago, many people who played MS in the US, wanted to get all the updates KMS had so they simply went there. They signed up with a KSSN that wasn't theirs and that can obviously create some problems.

So Nexon did the responsible thing and asked for KSSN verification and proof upon signing up.

Oh, I don't know, maybe because it's a KOREAN SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and you're signing up for JAPANESE, TAIWANESE, and GLOBAL(North American) versions of Lunia?

evileyes 09-22-2008 05:35 PM

Kuroowns 09-22-2008 05:38 PM
