Default Character stats

um im really confused because in MS we have charcter stats um like you stated in another thread some items give +1 dex or +1str. um for which charcters do the stats apply to what im trying to ask is who do i give str. dex. or int. and um what are the stats can u list them like for example str. dex. int. etc.

Well, str is melee strikes (and skills) int is for magic. I'm not sure anyone can clear that up any further until beta is reopened, because even then it was a bit sketchy. I do recall when you equip an item, all your stats are displayed on the screen telling you what went up and what went down, basically go for as many upped stats when you equip something new, unless it has faster casting/recharge (I think that was an option o.O)

Eh, it'll be pretty clear while playing, don't worry =]

All stats are needed for all chars.
Str affects melee/skill damage
Int increases mp
Dex lowers skill cooldown times.
Vit increases hp and maybe def I think

thanks so that would mean that dainn would need int. and no str. since he doesnt use melee strikes right?

I think str does effect his magic damage though, lol. Int is purely for mp increase =X (again, if I recall ><)

So the Thief character would probably need to balance out Str and Dex? There's no special builds that I found so I guess we'll have to just make up our own and hope we get strong?

Well, i do believe that there shouldnt bee any special builds at the moment cuz the game has only been through CB and many people didnt have enough time 2 experiment with different builds

When everyone starts its going to be like playing blindly cause its only OB and we will all have odd or messed up builds or put skill points into skills that are unless later on but good for early starts or w/e. Unless u have played K-Lunia and understand the builds and skill system. Not everyone will have bad builds though because some ppl actually research the skills and save up points until they absolutely know its good for their character.

If worst comes to worst I'll just restart. Not that big of a deal if you mess up, but I always like to have perfect stats for when I'm higher leveled.

ah crap we're all screwed ^^ well, i guess we'll have to guess our way through our builds and hope its perfect. or just forget the whole perfect build and make the character the way YOU want. isn't that what games are all about? i guess that whole idea was lost as soon as maplestory was released....

Hmmm...i messed up on my ms theif lol but still play him.If i have to level up extra to wear clothes i will .This game's stat dirstubution selections sound pretty easy.It sounds to me like i guess everyone needs some of everything.I see where Konvay is going though.If int if for mp Dainins need that for spells and str to upgrade their damage .

Well if the clothes have special stats required 2 wear them then we all would figure out the build. Like the clothes in MS.

Yes! I remember someone posting that the stats are raised automatically depending on what character you are. . .no need to worry about stat distribution guys. If they keep the same format in the OB, the only thing you'll have to worry about is getting the right skills. XD

Ill have a good power set then cus i usually have good useful skills and if they do suck i can find a way 2 make them useful

Power influences your Attack, Agi your dodge rate (didn't really have an effect for me LOL) Health probably reflects on your max HP, Int, magic and MP, Red. Damage leaves me blank.

Resistance is probably gained through accessories...
