Well Schedules and such could be arranged by the players themselves. If they can get a bracket up on the matches then it's good enough.

And the regulations they stated are very incomplete. Using "AA" three times straight in the air can only be done by dains because they can autostep straight. This can also mean three AAAS (sieg) and hafl dash can't be done in a row but does AASAAAA count as one "AA" or what?! What they give us is very incomplete as to what's "one string (AA)".

Hai. I think they just generalized that to be "no infinite combos that has a key string that repeats 3 times in a row, asides from the combo itself".

as i said, those rules are a starting point. they obviousy can be developed more.

You can't do three "AA" as in AA AA AA. You can do AAASAAAA, since the AA AA AA aren't used together in one sequence.

That would make auto step infinite combos legal, and AS Space Space wall combos legal too, and they're not.

I think generalizing auto step, windmill, and other infinite combos to be against the rules is a good start?

This seems very possible, the only problems apparently are...
  • Determining who won the match first-hand
  • Rules

Timing and such isn't too bad. I'm sure those who register can find a time to fight. It might take awhile to finish the first round, but meh.

I think the hardest part are Rules.

  • Equips (yes/no?)
  • Number of matches: best 2 out of 3?, best 3 out of 5?
  • Number of days to set up a match?

  • 1v1 tournaments, or maybe some team competitions?
  • Level divisions? What increments?

I think rather then make separate tournaments for level ranges, I'd rather pair up those in similar level ranges. Making two tournaments seems like a huge hassle.
  • No clue about the Windmill/autostep/infinite combos.
  • Yes, IMO. People work hard for their equipments.
  • Hmm....Best out of 5.
  • Number of days? Eh, at least in a one weekish range.
  • Yes for healing.
  • Team competitions can be held later on...1vs1 for now.
  • Not sure exactly.

Flare does have a good thought with the 2/3 then 3/5

I just realized I didn't answer my own questions, so I will go ahead and do that:
  • No for infinite combo/windmill.
  • Yes on equips, (in the future maybe it could vary in the tournaments, but for now lets keep it simple =P).
  • Flares idea is great for the matches, maybe finals and semis get 3/5 for the larger tournaments.
  • A week sounds good for the number of days.
  • Healing.....ah man thats a big problem. I would like to say no, but I think we should allow it until it becomes a problem.
  • I guess 1v1 at first, doesn't mean it can't change.

    Windmill, and auto step yes, very repetitive infinites = no.
    Windmills and autosteps by themselves do no make infinites.
  • Equips (yes/no?)
    No.
  • Number of matches: best 2 out of 3?, best 3 out of 5?
    Best 2 out of 3 for any pre-semi-final match. 3 out of 5 after that.
  • Number of days to set up a match?
    Set some sort of deadline... like a week per round.
  • Healing (yes/no?)
    Yes.
  • 1v1 tournaments, or maybe some team competitions?
    Make separate tournaments for this.
  • Level divisions? What increments?
    A lv 20 - 30 one, a lv 30 - 50 one, and a 50+ one.

Why would you vote no on windmill/autostep/infinite combos? I'm guessing you dont know how to use the them, and don't want people using it it on you? Easy solution, learn how to use them. You souldn't section off someone's abilities to be "fair" when they worked hard learning how to do the moves in the first place.

Equips: Yes, you don't have godly vit sets like the person you're fighting? Solution, get some. Your opponent probably spent alot of gold/time getting those equips, and for what? To be used only during stage? I don't think so.

2 out of 3 matches is fine. I don't object to this.

Matches. Due to the fact that we're online, and live in different timezones, we would probably need a couple days to sort this out. Both players could say the other person wasnt on. What would we do then?

Healing. This is a tough one. Healing is the point of being a healer. I really cant say yes or no to this one. Maybe make a rule that allows the healer to only use one type of heal.

1v1 is where the skill is demonstrated. Team battle is just fo skill spammers.

You try doing that more than 5 times in a row. And that's why GNG outlawed 3+ key loops.

Tell me Brawl, what exactly did you people at GNGWC do for equipments? I doubt they let you run out and farm for months. My problem with equipments is that a vastly rich person who might have gotten their fortune purely off of a +11~+11 damage grade on a item would be able to over power a much more skilled player just by the number of hit points they have or the amount of damage they do, rather than their actual innate skill. Tell me Brawl, (extreme scenario) would you be happy fighting a ghost hunter gear wearing hacker and losing just because he hits you for 150 damage per hit or that he has over 3700 hp?

It would be nice to say you can't do something 5 times in a row, or something along those lines, but there is a problem:

Who's going to be the judge of that?

I say we outlaw it all together, keep it simple so that everybody can keep track of the rules.

And who's to say what would be an infinite combo in the first place? OMG! I used kicking! I must be starting an infinite combo! BAN!

Putting such a dampener on skill just because you can't do it yourself is not desirable, on this much I can agree with Brawl.
