Quest for stage 1-10

Hey all,

Just a question (it may be a dumb one), but where is the NPC that gives the quest for stage 1-10? I've done several runs and i have yet to see an NPC. Thanks for the help.

Do you mean to get to 1-10? You have to finish 1-9 first, lol.

no, I've done 1-10 several times, but i heard that there was a quest where you could get 40s for defeating the boss everytime. the npc's name was mercenary #5 or something like that? sorry for the misunderstanding.
