I recommend the Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan. 11 books in the series (one more to be released) the shortest book is around 600 pages, the longest over 1000. I enjoyed it so much that when I had finished the 11th book I went back to the first book and read the whole series again.

Also, I just bought David Edding's "pawn of prophecy" today, and I'm gonna read that. If I like it I'll buy more of his books.

Sophie's World by Jostien Garder. I borrowed this book from the library 3 weeks ago an I have to give it next week. What's worst is that I didn't starting reading it properly until this week, and there's over 400 pages.

I have to recommend the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. Every time a new book comes out, I reread the whole series. I also highly recommend the Harry Dresden series by Jim Butcher. I absolutely love it

Kudaranai raped the topic name Q_Q.

Also, manga...eh, I read them too fast so I don't think it really counts.

The manga I'm currently reading is Princess Ai (the Ultimate edition, all the volumes put together into one fat volume) and I'm keeping up with the Shinigami no Ballad light novel.

Good book, good movie...

Umm...for class, I had to read The Prince by Machiavelli and Common Sense by Thomas Paine.

If you're interested in power and exchange, take a gander at those

You should go read The Joy Luck Club. I went to look for it after reading Ktchen God's wife, and I liked it a lot. I guess I just really like Amy Tan's books.

Half Price books, dude. They'll have it for sure, and a lot of times, I see it in the clearance section @_@

Also, if you can ever find "Children of the pearl" by Ching Y. Bezine, I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to find.

Another book that's pretty high on my list is "Temple" by Matthew Reilly. I read it back in high school because my best friend recommended it, and when I got it again, I lent it to my sweetie, who also read it and thought it was awesome, and then recommended it to his dad XD

I recommend "Phantom Tollbooth" and "Alice in Wonderland" (the original one)

Phantom Tollbooth- Ok, I read it in middle/high school, but I love this book and how it messes with the English language, numbers, and sound.

LOL Phantom tollbooth. They made me read that in like...5th grade (i was in that weird class for "gifted" students or whatever), it was a great read. I loved the Watch-dog.

"I can go anywhere, just take a look, its in a book, its the reading rainbow" ahhhhh memories, i wanted to kill that guy, then i wanted to RE-kill him on Star Trek.....

but enough about that...

ive reciently finished reading Looking Glass Wars for the 4th time and Seeing Redd twice (the first 2 books in The Looking Glass Wars trilogy by Frank beddor, the thirds release date is still TBA)

great books, teen fiction, Complete retelling of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland from the view point of Alice in a "What if Alice were really from wonderland and came through the pool of tears and meet Reverend Dodgeson (Carrol Lewis) because Wonderland was at war with her evil aunt Redd.

very nifty story, starts off kinda slow and your like "wtf, you werent even there most of the time" but its really creative and well written

I'm reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I was hesitant at first because a lot of places refer to this series as 'Romance'...and I can't stand romance novels. But I talked to a few people that read it and they said romance has a part but that's not all it is.

The series is about a woman from 1945 that time travels back to Scotland in 1743
