Nowadays I read most of my books in electronic format, either stuffed into my mobile phone or on my laptop. You can download lots of books online if you know where to look. ^o^

Project Gutenberg houses a repository of all classical works of literature in the public domain, including audiobooks.

- If you're looking for contemporary (or any casual book),
eSnips has a file-sharing system where you can search for e-books that users have uploaded. They're usually in PDF or .Lit (MS Reader) format. I get my contemporary, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, etc reading there.

FictionPress.com is an online writing repository for newbie writers. You can find gold there if you dig right. I know a few people who started there and eventually got published.
