Default So I'm reading this book...

It's the "Sweep" series by Cate Tiernan. A few years back (has to be at least three) I bought books 12~14 and the special edition 15. I read them back then and never bought the first few because I was too lazy to order. Now I ordered books 1~3, and I just finished reading 1 and I'm like pissed at myself for knowing what the ending is going to be. I haven't read the 12~special edition for a long time, but I still remember bits and pieces and I kinda wish I didn't so it wouldn't be spoiled for me.

Ughhhhhhhhh.

Anyway, has anyone done something like that? Read the back of the book, liked it, and then read the beginning only to hate yourself for spoiling the whole thing?

Sort of, with me it's mostly that I read books that I already knew the ending, like LotR and Lolita. I just like seeing how things take the turns to reach the end.

In some cases, it isn't all that bad. For example, you can get the whole story of a Goosebumps novel by looking at the cover, reading the first five pages, and then the last five pages. There was always a twist at the end, so what you read throughout the book was just one big pile of filler 8D

;o; yeah, some cases, but right now I wish I didn't know what happened. ._.;

I guess I've gotten a little too engrossed with the book..
