Crime and Punishment, Animal Farm, To Kill a Mockingbird, Candide, etc...

Emotionally, I'd say Five-Quarters of an Orange. That book almost killed me..ahh, the humanity in it. <3

I so want to read that. And watch the musical.
Playing the overture for our Spring concert, and it's so much fun and sarcastic.

Candide the musical? Wow. I feel like there are some scenes that shouldn't be acted out lols. But reading it takes very little time, so go go go! It basically taught me that life is stupid so laugh at it. \o/

The long walk by Stephen King
It was the first book that I actually enjoyed reading. I wouldn't mind reading it again.

I'd have to say 'The Giver', 'Tuesdays with Morrie', and 'The Portrait of Dorian Gray'. I always seem to remember them even after a few years.

All of the Redwall series - this series basically started my love for reading

I can't really say that one book has more impact on me than another. I think its more of a process where each book you read builds upon something else that you've read. However, I think that books that stick out in my mind are things like the Foundation trilogy, Ender's Game, Antigone, and The Heart of Darkness.

It's just amazing how the author introduces us to multiple complicated and obscure plotlines and characters; but the puzzle eventually gets pieced together as you move along and everything falls into place leaving you in complete awe.

The Book of Joby, by Mark J. Ferrari. It made me think, at least.

Somehow, most of my favorite novels did not influence me much.. such as Don Quixote, Dumas's Count of Monte, Musketeers trilogy, The Red and the Black, Goethe's novels, or any of Tolstoy's etc.

1. Les Miserables - Particularly the first section about Bishop Myriel and Fantine. Myriel represents all of goodness and Fantine became my ideal type of woman.

2 + 3. Song of Saya + Nortre dame de Paris - These 2 novels clarified to me what the roll of appearance is in love and true love. You must accept one's appearance before being able to love him/her. Appearance, in a sense, is only a hindrance to finding love.

Those are the top 3.. Their lessons I try to remember always.

Matilda by Roald Dahl, so not a serious book, but it's cute and it was the first time I smiled at a book. <3

That.

And Animal Farm.
And Fahrenheit 451(Ray Bradbury) before those two.
And Sophie's World (Jostein Gaarder), although I now think it's not that good, but it definitely touched me back then.
