How big is your personal library? (feel free to post pics!)
as the title says.
Ever since I was in highschool, my best friend and I talked about having our own, massive personal libraries, and I'm trying to make my dream come true.
I mostly have manga, and am bordering on about 380 volumes from dozens of series. I also have a decent number of Childrens books (goosebumps and Animorphs, among others), a small DVD shelving unit full of Dragonlance/Forgotten realms/Various fantasy type books, and a growing number of good novels.
The pride of my collection, however, if the one shelf of RPG sourcebooks. Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf: The apocolypse, AD&D, Hunter: The reckoning, and the like, as well as the obscure gems of my collection: Fireborn, Demon: the Fallen, and my very favorite 7:13 - Cycle of existence.
All in all I have 4 bigger shelving units and two small ones, all full. And nowhere to put any new books, so no new ones for me. ;-;
I'll post some pictures up when my camera batteries are charged up.

i have a lot of books. mostly 19th century. some earth 20th century. very little past the year 1930 as far as novels go. the author i have the most of is Jules Verne.
i also have religious books. lots of those too.
the beyond that are my japanese children's books (anne of green gables in japanese anyone?), english children's books, magazines (sports illustrated, GQ, Popolo), doujinshi, american comics and then my graphic novels and manga collection...
i like to keep everything organized. my books are in alphabetical order by author. manga is alphabetized by title. magazine and doujinshi are kept together.
i also have a lot of reference material like dictionaries and grammar guides in tagalog, english, and japanese.

I don't... keep my books. ^^;
Half of my books are crammed all over my parent's house and my apartment - under beds, various drawers, spread over coffee tables - while the other half are in the possession of friends and relatives.
I always share my books. After I've read it, I thrust my favorites onto people's hands insisting they read it. Most of the time, those books never make it back to me, but I don't mind. In fact, I encourage them to lend it around to people they know to spread the love.~

About 50-60 books. It would be more, but I am a bit limited by the crappy bookstores around where I live.

Holy Library Science, Batgirl!
*jaw drops* That is totally awesome. I think I'm in love. With the room, I mean. And possibly you...a little XD
I wish my room had the space for that many shelves.
And here is my collection (which lolpales in comparison).

My Manga Shelf, topped by my collection of Heroscape figures XD

Manga Shelf number 2, hidden under my loft bed

My Scifi/Fantasy novels on the left, more Manga and some Children's books (Animorphs and Goosebumps, mostly) on the right.

Shelf 4, under my window

My big shelf, in my currently very messy desk area

MY pride and Joy, My shelf of Tabletop RPGs. It was once bigger, but my BF had to sell a bunch a while back ;_;

I approve of Mitchi's library.
PROOF:
 = win.
On Topic, the only books I have were a shelf of Goosebumps books =B from elementary =B and now they're going to be thrown out because they got moist and moldy =B
Those and some textbooks (?) Idk if these old old old colliers encyclopedia (the ones with volumes 1-24) count though =/

In a further note, I need to not go to the bookstore for a while, at least until I move. I have no more shelf space for new books. All that empty space on a few of the shelves? those belong to books that are being read/loaned out.

your bookshelf actually reminds me of my friend's dad. his library is situated and looks exactly the same.
