Yeah...My mom calls them Japanese Crickets, they are also known as Camel Crickets. and they're suppose to be good luck..but they are huge and look nasty. We lived ina house where they would be all over my room and crawl on me when I slept so I have been scared of them since....Im so scared of them that my mom can act like she has one and I will scream and run away.
My family has tormented me with them...
Here's a vid I found it will show you how BIG they really are..Its a cute Vid..Just glad it wasnt me.

Actually, you only get tetanus of you're stabbed/punctured with something rusty AND it gets infected with a specific bacterium. Rust itself doesn't do anything bad (for example, if you eat rust, it does nothing and you'll excrete the rust, since you can't digest it), but rust IS a prime breeding ground for the nasties that cause tetanus.
That being said, I think rust is icky and I don't like how it feels on my hands/clothes. But the tetanus is only a small part of why I'm scared of it. I'm just really weird.
Oh, and I'm afraid of ladders.
Baa baa black sheep have you any booze? No sir, no sir, I'm a....sheep~
Oh I forgot to add water. much like you Ashie, its not pools and such its more the seas/lakes and stuff. Places where you can never be sure what's lurking in there, and any one thing [such as a weather change] can make that place completely unsafe.
