Opinion on a Minstrel Build

I've been thinking a lot about what build I want my minstrel to be and came up with an idea, and I'm posting it here to see if anyone has any opinions on it.

Well, in order to help you out, I think a few questions need to be asked.

1. What type of bard/minstrel will you be playing as: attack, heal/buff, or hybrid
2. Will you be using all those Water I attacks much? If not, I suggest leaving them at level 2.
3. In order to survive in Coli (without exhorbiant STA equips) I highly recommend getting Voice of Holy Spirit before anything else (besides the necessities: attacks, heals, etc).
4. Besides your Misc skill path, I believe you have the standard Minstrel build in mind. Most mintrels will take the left path I believe to increase damage. Your build suggests to me that you might be a heal/party bard.

It's meant to be hybrid, yeah. Pretty much the only ice moves I intend on using are the II's, except for bubble bubble, so ice fear is maxed while ice storm isn't just because it's nice for the stun. voice of holy spirit is kept maxed (or nearly maxed at times) throughout the build.

My 173 Hybrid Minstrel has the exact same build but..

Im planning on keeping the Ice skills at lvl 2 and the final one at lvl 1 :v
Never saw a noticable damage increase when i tested them so.. yeah XD
Probably gonna save points for somthing more important :v

I would drop the mind square tree if you're going for a hybrid build. You should heal plenty with the addition of the final party heal upgrade. Go with the Elemental flow tree to maximize damage.

I mostly went into it for hand of holy spirit, the healing bonuses are a side benefit.

IMO. That final party heal isnt so useful >_> /doesnt have it
Sure it heals like 50% hp? But the cooldown is ._.; i would have healed more with the normal group heal specially since we have the purification tree and Coli Asura guitars lol.

And yeah the Mind Square tree is probably to get Hand of Holy Spirit (This skill is so pro D

It's a level 145 skill, and I'm getting it at 145 (it's called "rest" in my build). The final heal skill I find is really useful because it's 50% of max HP meaning I can heal templars/holy orders for a ton more than my normal heal (and even in general it's still nice) and the cooldown is pretty short.

I would agree...I wouldn't touch the mindsquare tree with a 10ft pole...the points it takes to get to that few seconds of immunity isnt worth it.

The new heal isn't spammable...so not worth the 4 points.

Also, it seems most of us didn't bother to get the 2nd and 3rd water masteries...they really do suck.

Take the extra skills points and start going down the elemental flow tree...its far more useful

yeah... the build looks cool, except I haven't used the mind square tree since like the 40's and that was before I actually thought out a build XD;; I would say use it if you were going full support (in which case, you wouldn't really need that many ice attacks either. you'd have ES and Fortissimo obv, and I guess Megadeath) or use either of the other ones for offensive/hybrid. otherwise, I can't really help much XD;; I'm still a solid 20 lvls away from 140 so yeah... that'll be a while.

I have a water elemental, which is why I tried to have at least 1 point in each mastery. Should I only bother with max novice and 1 point in intermediate then?

The 50% heal is pretty nice if you don't have the purification tree actually. ;D

Helps when I'm too lazy to spam my heals or in colo. /o/
