Quick Artist question

is it smart to get only healing skills as a sorcerer ( with a knuckle or dagger ) because i want to be able to get the gerneral skills aswell, and if i go with one element and healing skills would i have enough Skill points to get the general skills??

No it's not smart to only get healing skill as a mage, even if you use knuckles or a dagger and shield. It'll take quite a long time to level up unless you have a good party.

And besides, even if you maxed out an element and the healing tree, you'll still have 8 points left over in your general skills.

I suggest you play around with the skill simulator so you can invest your points wisely.
