No Artist? Problem?

Ive seen only 2 videos on youtube that have artist on it and only maybe 3 ppl who plan on being artist.. with the so low amount of artist and the large amount of classes like warlords wat are they gonna do if they dont want to spam on pots? the 5 artist that are gonna be walking around latale like me are going to be bombarded for instance dungoun raids and stuff for party buffs. what isf its too much? Im redy for the challenge? But what if all fails and ppl give up on artist? Will the Latale party system suffer. Im not being serious about no artist left in latale but im serious about no one picking it whats going on i mean they have pretty good AoE offense. If your gonna be an artist you got to say something... Oh is it a good idea for me to go pure water?

I don't think the system will fall, in fact, you can abuse the fact that they need you for money =3

I agree with Hector about the party system not failing... Artists are helpful but not needed in parties.

Going pure water is up to you, it's recommended for artists to go water since water has a skill that helps healing. However, the free skill reset at level 80 allows you to go whatever element you want.

also artists can combo well alone, it's not like they "need" party ^^

I'm becoming artist and you don't HAVE to go pure water with that i mean u don't need water attacking skills u might aswell go fire and get the healing skills with icon: water+
they don't require you to use water attacking spells

You can choose any element until you job advance at 80. When you become an artist, you can ONLY choose from Healing and Water element skills. (also your skill points are reset to accommodate this)

I'm just worried people start spamming artists to heal, and to buff, and to "HEAL NOOB"
If that's the case, I really believe artists should just stick with their guilds and friends ._.

Other then that, if we can spam pots it's not a problem. ( But pots have a tiny cooldown so you will have to jump around and evade a bit )

I'm pretty sure everyone can survive fine without someone following them around to heal them. According to some pie chart I found on the OGPlanet forums, only 6% of the voters will be Artists.

Well if people start spamming for "halp" about buffs and heal, I know not to support. ;P
Since there is going to be 5000 people in closedbeta, more or less, It's highly unlikely there will only be 5 Artists running around. Besides, you can buy potions and just level by yourself. o___O;

Seriously though, I do hope there'll be a decent number of healers around, it's a pain to deal with the potion cooldowns when you're fighting large mobs or difficult enemies.

you can't really "spam" pots because there's cooldown
so heal is actually a good advantage

If the world of Latale was to rely on the Artist class so much, the game would be no fun. Each class can handle themselves well. Artist class is not as unpopular as you think, the MyMMOGames forum isnt the only place for Latale players.

Yup, i just went to OG planet's forum and they have like 10 pages of threads discussing about it, and most of them are heading for the artist path lolx -.-"...i think i will either be going knuckle knight/sword knight or spear warrior/ blade warrior. Dagger treasure hunters are cool in my opinion and they are strong but i just can't seem to like it better than knights or warriors >.>

According to a poll (with 200 votes at the time), Artist only had around 6% of the votes. There aren't going to be a lot of people trying to be an Artist in Closed Beta (that doesn't mean all the magicians will ignore Healing though). However, only 7% were going to be Sorcerer. That means only a small 13% of Closed Beta are going to even BE a Magician. (There were 1.5x more Warlords alone, than the whole Magician class. Warlords made up 21% of the votes).

I'm more afraid of the whole Magician class, than Artist alone. (I think at the moment, Sorcerers are the least popular class).

Stupid Warlords and their massive swords and awsomeness in PvP...

Poll's in a forum are not equivilant to a game's population.

I guess it may give a general idea on what people may shoot for but you also have to think of it as a way to start out "unfunded". Not many people go into a game starting with the most costly characters, Melee classes are great for saving money and once everyone is funded you will see many more magician classes around.

70+% of people don't use forums, however i'll be a sorcerer in beta, so i can see how this class behave as a first, if something goes "wrong", i'll level up a bit the blader/treasure hunter to do some money and then take the sorcerer ^^
