Game crashes at launcher

Hello,

So I tried several things posted in the forum already and contacted the help desk about it.
When I start the LaTale-Launcher everything is fine, patched... I click start, X-Trap updates and whatnot then the game seems to start (short black screen) then I get an error message report to microsoft thing.. no further advice there.
Sometimes it just does nothing after starting the game, as if it actually ran the thing, only the process of the launcher remains in task-manager but nothing else happens.
Sometimes I just get an error, sorry for the inconvenience, sometimes it'S an error report to microsoft thing.
Sometimes it just vanishes after posing as if the game started, not even a process remains.

I uninstalled Anti-Virus, set up openDNS ect...

My system, which is relatively new set-up and void of viruses or spyware:

Windows XP Professional x64
Core2Duo T9300 2,5ghz
4gb RAM
GF8600m gt

Most recent DX9 runtime and graphics drivers.
Not getting specific error from x-trap but I heard x64 systems might have trouble?
Reinstalling after cleanly uninstalling LaTale and all files doesn't help.

OGPlanet's site and mirror I guess.
Do you suggest dling one of your patched clients then?
It seemed to patch fine from OGP's downloaded client.. but who knows.

Try downloading my most recent one. If there's a XTrap folder, delete it. Then run the LaTale launcher.

I downloaded your build and it runs smooth (no patching needed ect), but it produces the same error...
Helpdesk asked for DXDIAG and me updating whatever I can, but I'm 100% sure everything is up to date...
Their guess is something leading x-trap to close the game after startup.. X-Trap normally updates then vanishes.

Anything with compatability modes and running as administrator doesn't yield results either.
Currently I'm updating NET.Framework as it installed with IE8...

I have the same problem. What I do, though, is as soon as the patcher loads and the "Start" button appears, I click on the Start Button. For some reason, I have a higher chance of getting in rather than having LaTale close out after X-Trap "vanishes".

Updating NET Framework may solve it, but there may be a bigger issue. Could you post a HJT log?

Well, HelpDesk asks me the same things again now.. what can I do -.-
What I will do is reformat my small OS-Partition and install my good old VISTA Home Premium x86...

You have a damaged version Vista 64. Just reinstall it. Input your CD and click repair.

I have XP Pro x64 and Vista Home Premium x86, which I installed now...
But I'm not gonna play OGP-LaTale anymore... as I heard today that Europe-LaTale will start in one week hosted by aeriagames... hell yes... delay/lag-free LaTale in my neighbourhood.

Ya luckily I wiped the whole OS and freshly installed VISTA again.
Wondering what happened to those system files tho... system ran perfectly normal except for LT :S

Just in case I did a clean wipe and wiped the free space in case of evul trojans hiding beforehand.
I also found a mysterious 8mb unallocated partition... maybe some worm build itself a fluffy nest...
Too bad I killed everything with 1s and 0s.

Seriously, system32 took heavy hits it seems... that's what you get for uninstalling your virus protection to test if it works without it =)

Even with that system I had, I played NWN2 or Assassin'S Creed without worries ;/
And seriously, 64bits has problems here and there, XP is a great OS no doubt, but my good old vista x86 works better for me in the end.

XP 64bit is very new in the 64bit era... if I'm correct. Vista 64 is much more stable. I'd use Vista 32 instead of XP 64. So I assume you're waiting for aeria games. If you have any problems post a new thread.
