You must have a lot of torrenters in your neighbourhood, cause this doesn't affect me. Haha

I think it's more of a "Comcast's too cheap to break up neighborhoods properly so there's too many people on one node" issue really. Where I'm at you have no other choice but Comcast for broadband and they know it, and don't do any more than the bare minimum. I'm hoping once they finally roll out DOCSIS 3 here it'll improve since that'll allow for higher upbound bandwidth on their side.

But even so the La Tale client is very sensitive to upbound network latency, I've never seen another game be so sensitive to it. Maybe there's some truth to OGP's claim that since it was developed in Korea it doesn't work exactly right here in the US. Korea's got much higher broadband penetration and higher speeds (both down and up) than we do. It's very possible this issue wouldn't have been encountered there so they didn't realize it existed.

One of the reasons why Cable can be a real pain in the ass. I don't have that big of a problem with torrentors (at all really) using AT&T DSL xP

Now run LaTale and ping again. It should be higher. If it's above 100ms then you'll experience delay. Mine when I have LaTale running is around 50~70, regular is 13ms.

Also cable is only a pain if your company is really cheap like mentioned. Generally cable is better than DSL, especially with that new FiOS.

FiOS is awesome , it's actually full fiber so there's none of the problems of pooled bandwidth like you get on normal cable that uses DOCSIS. I wish Verizon would bring FiOS where I'm at.

I think we all do.

I'm so jealous cause my cousin has FiOS and they don't even use it! They just pay for it for nothing, but they live in New Jersey, so it's not like I can even just pop in and abuse UBER DOWNLOAD SPEEDS.

One of them is 16 and all she does is download shit off of MySpace and has her PC trojaned up the butt (and I'm tired of fixing it every time I go up there), and everyone else there doesn't download crap, so it's whatever.

I could only imagine what Usenet speeds would be like on FiOS...

--
Also, (back on topic) anyone who HAS FiOS get any lag? I'm wondering, because I've seemed to get rid of just about ALL of my lag with this 'hack', and I'm not even running on it, although I know 'delay' plays into it as well..

I'm lagging extremely and I shouldn't be >:

Sadly, I don't know what to do at step 12 of Part A. Any help would be appreciated.

Compare the data with the info in the command prompt window. One of them will have to match.

You have to download MSMQ from the microsoft website for XP. The command prompt is for Vista like it says.

I don't think it's going to be listed. It's only shown in the registry.

On my XP machine it's only in the registry. MSMQ isn't a program that an end user can use anyhow.
