Just making sure (enchanting)
Just wanted to ask a couple of questions.

~Even though there's 3 or so ways to boost success rate (mask/book/remedy), you can't get 100%, right?

~When should you start using super puzzles as opposed to regular ones? Level 4 maybe? :o

A huge thank you to any advice/answers.

1. you can get 100 success. its what most ppl prefer. if you stack all 3 (or advanced enchant remedy with mask or title) then you can get 100%. that is providing that you have a decent amount of dura on it (i cant really remember how much dura you need anymore sry)

2. should use supers from start to finish. but if you dont have the money or w/e start at at least lvl 6

If I recall correctly, there were a few cases of things blowing up on 100% acutally owo" (I heard its acutally like 99.99999999 or something)

It IS possible to combine the title (2%), mask (2%), and either of, but not both of, the enchant remedies (2% or 4%) to push the success rate above 100%.

You may hear about people failing at 100%. This topic came up months ago, but no one ever provided any solid proof beyond anecdotes. Take the claims with a grain of salt.

If you can afford it, use super puzzles for all levels for the following reasons:

1: Super puzzles consume less dura per puzzle on average (5-10 versus 5-15)
2: All super puzzles have maximum range 50% higher than the normal puzzle, rounded up. For example, if a normal puzzle has a 2-4 range, then the corresponding super puzzle will have a 2-6 range.

Ohhh! Okay. I thought if you used super puzzles right off the bat, it wouldn't do anything. Like I thought it was a percentage increase off last puzzle, hehe, my bad.

Oh my gosh, you CAN get 100%? Well that makes the idea of enchanting MUCH less frightening. :py25:

Thank you all so much for your swift responses.

My success rate is stuck around 95%. Just high amount of LUCK.

Boost your LUCK. It actually helps me alot.

But then again, I'm an Explorer, high LUCK. And I have a set of clothes that are max-level on luck enchant. :py44:

Like... real life luck?

Or in game luck stat. Because I don't think that actually affects enchant success rate...

Unless I'm wrong??

BoredomKillz 03-16-2012 09:57 AM

no it doesnt really affect the success rate, ppl just like to apply some kind of x factor to these kinds of things to try and boost their odds (like not doing too many consecutive enchants or waiting before doing next enchant)

Maryx3s 03-17-2012 02:39 PM

You can't blow anything up at 100%, it's just a rumor cause by poor enchanting habits.

Edit: Not that I have proof to the contrary...
