Foods and how they stack
Just confirming what I read on the japanese wiki.
To explain this more easily, let's classify the foods in certain categories.
Class A - any increase in basic stats (luck, magic, stamina, strength)
Class B - any increase in damage, damage reduction, max hp and max sp
Class C - any increase in critical damage, critical rate, accuracy, or evasion
Class D - any increase in rare options %, IDR %, or ely gain
Class E - items that you receive from cooking quests like tomato sandwich, cream puffs, chocolate sticks, etc.
Class F - Event items like pumpkin seeds, festival cakes, etc.
The rule of stacking seems to be that you can only use one food from each class at a time.
So for example this is ok - A,B,C,D,E,F
But this will result in one food overriding another - A,A,B,F
When one food conflicts with another, the most recent one used replaces the effect of the previous one.
There may be exceptions to this rule, but so far I haven't found any.
Nice summarized finds, could be pretty useful. We'll all chip in with any exceptions once full craft is out and more food come out I suppose.
Sorry for the necro, just adding something:
Guild foods override other guild foods.
All 30 minute cooldown foods override each other, and share the same cooldown.
EDIT: More info:
Holy waters can stack with each other.
e.g. 30% physical damage holy water + 40% critical damage holy water + 30% IDR holy water.
However syrups cannot stack with holy waters, so no doubling there.
Note: I have not tested this with stat holy waters eg. magic/str/stam holy water.
Nostrums can stack with other buffs, but only 1 of each type.
e.g. Enhanced Item Nostrum (200%) + Enhanced Ely nostrum works.
Item nostrum (100%) + Enhanced item nostrum (200%) = first nostrum overridden.
Nostrums can stack with holy waters. EXP potions count as a type of nostrum.
The 1-50 nostrum and the 1-80 nostrum cannot stack together, but can stack with other buffs.
Now, as for food cooldowns and effects, Class A-F foods, as well as remedies (such as the 10-minute strong JJoo remedy) can be resetted by channel changing. The 30-minute foods, nostrums, syrups and holy waters are unaffected, and the timer only runs while you are online - meaning you can log off and save that delicious exp buff for later, but also that you cannot bypass the 30 minute wait for the next tiny kiwi ice cream.
What would primes, superiors and advanced xp pots be categorized in?
primes, superiors, enhanced, and advanced are in their own category. they can be stacked with all the other stuff, but not themselves
