I could be wrong, but it looks like you need a registered account there to be able to download the client, and I think the registration form automatically blocks NA IPs.

Rawlie, do you have LT open when you're trying to use the simulator?
If so, you need to close it because two programs can't be running the Launcher. It considers it like double clienting or something.
