For pricing commissions, you have a couple of things you'll need to think about. Ask yourself these questions & consider the following:
- What are you going to offer? Quick sketches can be sold for cheap, & more complex things such as detailed pictures or animations can cost a lot more.
- How much time does it take you to draw? Are you able to complete something in a very small amount of time or does it take you awhile? How much effort & detail do you put into your art, & how difficult is it for you to complete a drawing? If you're able to get your drawings completed in a very short amount of time without breaking a sweat then you should probably be a bit lenient with your prices, but if you tend to spend a lot of time on your artwork & make sure that every little detail is perfect then you may want to charge more.
- You'll want your prices to be affordable to as many different people as possible without making them too cheap. Don't price your commissions so high that only the rich & grand elite can afford them, but don't price them so low that you won't be able to profit.
- Hypothetically, how much would YOU pay for your own artwork? If you were to commission yourself, what would you personally be willing to spend? How much do you think it's worth?
If you're still not sure, you can PM me or something & I could try & make some suggestions. But that's up to you.
