Iris Livier Sketches:



Some Iris Livier sketches I did for preparations for my LaTale comic/manga series.

Just experimenting to get the big eyes on her for her character. First one I did, which is the left one, was great the first time then I messed it up and trying to change the eyes over and over again.

That's when I did the second one.

Iris Livier Sketch #2:



This is another sketch of Iris Livier from the popluar MMORPG "LaTale".

Iris is the heroine of the story and the player gets a memory of her defeating the Demon King and goes on a journey of solving the mystery of Iris and her adventures.

Iris fights using a Bow and she's a being called a "Derr" the supposedly last member of the Derr Clan of a group of powerful magic users and rivals to the Demon King's Agasura Clan.

She is an odd one because her parents were a Human and a Derr and this mix pairing can only have Human offsprings making Iris the first Derr to be born from this pairing which is unusually.


I like practice drawing her, but at the same time it's annoying because of the great detail to her clothing. Though it's fun drawing her still and this is all practice for my LaTale comic series.

Chris Corona - Star Gazing:



This is another Chris Corona sketch.

This time he's star gazing (though you can't see the stars) and asks a question to his friend, Iris Livier, when she star gazes too.

Also get him equipped with both of his Dual Semi-Buster Swords though the sword handles were a pain to draw.

Drawings #64:


This is my 64th sketch batch done by yours truly.


I accidentally squash my paper a bit when I put my Laptop on top of it (I was cleaning my room) so the top right corner had to be flatten out. I apologize if the drawings may look squash to you.

Anyway I did more facial expressions again, and a hand that can be used for holding something and a quick drawing of Iris Livier from LaTale (the main heroine has annoying detailed hair, I'm going to have to simplify it) .

The top right drawing was just the eye, nose, and mouth until I started drawing the hair and face. He looks like one of those dreamy boys that girl fawn over.

Tell me what you think, OK?


PS: Yeah, nothing really LaTale-related except for Iris herself.

Iris VS Demon King WIP



This is my LaTale Fanart Contest Entry, however I plan to ink and color it for the final version to sumbit this July 8th, 2009.


In this picture I'm showing the final battle between Iris Livier and the Demon King (which is the Prologue story in the online game LaTale). I wanted to do something epic for the fanart contest and this came to mind.

It's still a WIP because I need to digitally ink it and color and give an a dark background giving a more eerie and depressing mood.

Plus there was hardly NO official artwork on the Demon King so I had to draw from the game sprite itself and the small comic clip of its head to draw it. Iris is a little easier but still tricky to draw looking from behind. I add a few scratches on them to make it look more intense and show their final struggle.

LaTale - Iris Livier:


This is a LaTale fanart with a drawing of Iris Livier, the lead heroine of the popluar online game.
This is also practice for my LaTale: Tales of Corona manga project.

Her main fighting style is an Archer (from the online game Iris would be either a Explorer or its job extension Treasure Hunter class) using her Derr Bow and Energy Arrows.

That much information is known about Iris Livier herself, though she is portray as a gentle, caring, kind-hearted individual who's also a bit emotional fragile but makes up for it with her strong determination. I also believe she's a bit self-sacrificing as she is willingly to give up her life to save her world from the Demon King.

Maybe I could enter this into the LaTale Fanart contest, however I believe that my Iris Livier VS the Demon King fanart has a higher chance of winning.

What are your thoughts on this drawing? This is my best drawing of Iris yet!

LaTale - Monster Fanart:



This is my entry for the August 2009 LaTale Monster Fanart Contest.

The creatures I picked are the Priving, the most common monster in all of LaTale, and the Naughty Little Dino, a Dragon-like Pet that follows the player. The two of them are seeing how's the toughest monster around.

Also I used my colored pencil to color the dudes and the background. What are you thoughts on it.

Chris Corona - Spiky Hair Update


Please excuse me for posting a ridiculously huge picture. Forgot to re-size.


It's been awhile since my last submitted artwork. Anyway this is just an update regarding Chris Corona's hairstyle for the LaTale manga story I'm planning on making.

Originally I was suppose to mess around his head and hair areas, but I got carried away and drew the rest of his body. Took me about 40 mins or so drawing this.

I messed around with his hair on the left side (Chris' right side) and got a very vibe from this way of drawing his hair until of three large spikes going upward. For some reason the left side (Chris' right side) of his hair reminds me of Goku's hair in a way, which is cool though not intentional.


By the way his frosted tips of his hair are natural, not dyed. This is because of a genetic fault in his DNA regarding hair giving the expression that his hair strands age sort of faster resulting with the white tips.


I'm a little conflicted. I like this hair-style for Chris Corona as it suits his wild and childish side in the story, but in my own original manga series "VirusChris" Chris Yuushi has a Trident hair-style with no frosted-tips.

Should I go with what I original had for a hairstyle for Chris in "VirusChris" or switch over to the Frosted Spiky hairstyle. Hmmm...


Also this is what the main character looks like in my LaTale: Tales of Corona fanficition and the one-day-to-be manga adaption. What do you think?
