[CENTER]IV. Hyunmu
(AKA TI(Turtle Island)) < Inside Joke

a. Soloing Hyunmu
Recommended: Hyunmu fullset + knowledge of (JAS) jump attack skill
200 Quality Hp cookies 400 Sp cookies 50 Quality Combo Cookies
Remember to use the best HP/Combo Cookie you can use when handling boss monsters.

Before you try soloing hyunmu, do it right aftert you level up so that you don't lose exp after dying, put your ELY into your bank so that you don't lose any money.

It takes around 45min+ for Explorers to solo Hyunmu at level 50.

1. Go near to the front of hyunmu and let him jump(if you try to jump around him while he's jumping you'll get hit and sent to the ground, unless you JAS) towards you, as soon as he jumps you can either move back(make sure you don't get hit by his chin) or stand still.

2. Measure how much distance you need to move for hyunmu to start chasing after you. If you go to far he will jump at you again.
Where you have to be is right in front of hyunmu, just about under his face. When you're at the right distance in front of hyunmu.

3. Wait for him to do a green fire breathing attack
(i think it was called earth breath)
that does x3 hit
(If you mess up with your timing while he's earth breathing you, press down to block and reduce some damage or jump so that you only get hit once)

4. As soon as his head raises to release that fire breathing attack you just have to walk/run out of earth breath range and start Shooting at him with 2skills(choose between stream shot, wide shot, galactica magnum).

5. As soon as you've finnished using any two skills, he will jump at you again(as he's jumping you can jump back and JAS him if you want). Shoot at him with a regular attack once as he lands or run back without shooting after he lands.

6. Get back to the distance where he will earth breath.
Remember that distance that he always uses earth breath. This distance is the key to soloing Hyunmu.

7. If you think you'll be cornered any time soon, which will be after about 3 hyunmu leap attacks (from one corner to another), as soon as he earth breaths and prepares to jump towards you, cornering you.
Run under him and towards to the other side(having wanderer title helps with this).

8. Repeat this cycle over and over, if you master this tactic you won't die once while soloing him.

b. Hyunmu Item Drop Rate

I've soloed Hyunmu 23(last killed 11/5/08) times and never got a hyunmu equipment from him: hyunmu dagger, hyunmu shield, etc.
So good luck if you're thinking of making money by doing hyunmu solo runs

c. What to expect from Hyunmu

When you're too close to him

1. EarthBall?:
WARNING sign comes out of the screen and he shoots a fire ball which explodes and does a lot of damage, especially when it crits you.
To avoid this, either run behind him and keep shooting or JAS as you jump behind him.
If you think you're too far away to make it behind him, run away from the ball and press down, which will cause his earthball to not harm you.
(For the fireball to not harm you, you have to run equally or further away from the distance the fireball explodes.)
You can also stand behind im and stand near the end of the tail where the spikes are, if you are at the right range, he will earth breath you instead of leap attacking like the usual.

2. EarthQuake:
He stands on his two feet and slams onto the ground, to dodge this, you can either jump and JAS, or stay out of the range of the earthquake and keep shooting. If you're in the earth breath range after he used Earthquake, he will earth breath you without leap attacking.

3. Rampage:
He does runs all over you doing about x2 damage(when you first get hit, again as soon as you get up). Jump to get hit only once or eat a cookie and you'll be fine.

4. Tail whip:
This attack HURTS, especially when he comboes it with another attack right after. Eat those combo cookies.

5. Earthbreath:
if you're too close to him, he may still do the x3 hit firebreath attack to you, if you jump while he's unleashing the Earth breath you'll only get hit once and be in the position of getting back your pace back. You can also hold down to reduce the damage.

When you're too far from him

1. Leap Attack!:
He'll jump at you when he gets to a certain distance.
It's better to be too far away than too close though.

d. Hyunmu set

Any monster drops a part of a hyumu set in the 2nd dungeon(i forgot the name of the dungeon)
except for tigers and mouth peaches.
It took about 5 hours for me and Gkorea to get the hyunmu full set.
The first 3 hours we thought that only the monkey dropped the set, so we only killed the monkies.
A friend of mine told me that any of the monsters drop a part of the set (thanks timii)
That's when we started clearing out the whole area.
Both of us changed to MF (magic find) build to increase the chance of us finding the set.
In the end we found out that the skill Rare Item only good for finding items with more stats on(which does not help with finding the hyunmu set faster)
On the other hand Treasure Master(Passive skill)
might have helped us find that Hyunmu set faster.

V. Extra

a. Tigris Bow - level 34
(You can upgrade it for +15 min damage and +20 max damage when you hit level43, everytime you upgrade a weapon that gives a +#, the level requirement increases),

b. Back Dash
Save at (Secret Room) Iris stone in Dark Moon Castle
-credits to whoever found out first

c. Treasure hunter or Gunslinger

1. Treasure hunters can PVP/PVE, PVP treasure hunters mostly use daggers(throwing skill tree)ands Xbows
for PVE i have no clue, i don't have a clue what they use to level, im guessing Xbows though.
2. Gunslingers are can PVP/PVE, gunslingers are unfortunately not the best pvp class
As of now all Gunslingers are favoured over Treasure hunters in PVPing
Until 3rd Class comes out, nobody will know whether Treasure Hunters or Gunslingers will be better at pvp.

d. Saving Money From Pots/Cookies

1. Buy Pots and Cookies that are good enough to keep you alive.
2. There's no point in buying an expensive hp cookie if the hp cheap cookie is enough to heal you without killing you.
3. Same goes for sp cookies, you really don't need the best sp cookies if a cheaper sp cookie can keep up with all your skill cooldowns. I'm level 52 and i never use Quality Sp cookies,
4. i use regular Sp cookies because regular Sp cookies are good enough to keep my sp above 0.
5. The only time you should use expensive pots/cookies is when you're fighting difficult monsters who won't let you out pot/cookie them.

VI. Last words

a. Explorer's Future

I've done some research on KLO and i found out that gun slingers and treasure hunters have a good chance at PVP when class change becomes implemented. Gunslinger being favoured over a treasure hunter in pvp.
Let us hope that when 3rd class comes out, explorers will have a brighter future.

Time for my criticism.

1 - At the grinding areas, you said Spriggans until 70, which I have to disagree with. LaTale DOES have the Haunted Ship released, and around 63+, it's a better idea to try Zombie Crew than Spriggans, due to how long Spriggans take to kill in comparison, as well as the fact Zombie Crew members are easier to mob if you want to mob them.

2 - Hyunmu, why do you specifically center on Hyun Mu o_O? I'm gonna guess that since this is your first draft you just didn't include Invoke for now, but the information on the Hyun Mu set seems pretty general... mostly just how long it took you to get it. I think it would make more sense if you included why the Hyun Mu set is especially important for explorers, such as the fact Crossbowmen and Bowmen can REALLY benefit from the defense bonus, as it can make up for the lack of a shield should they be using normal armor instead.

3 - Grammar and mechanics, it's always important for a guide to be proper in it's spelling and grammar so people can easily read it. I notice a lot of awkwardly phrased sentences (for example; [i]I've done some research and i found out that we have a good chance at PVP when class change becomes implemented. Let us hope that when 3rd class comes out, explorers will have a brighter future.[i] The first sentence implies that explorers are doing well. The second sentence implies explorers are NOT doing well.), and for a guide to be good, it should have proper grammar and mechanics. There are also spelling errors, such as Spriggans being spelled incorrectly.

4 - The whole guide should not be centered, because it makes it annoying to read. Only center important parts of the guide. Furthermore on the looks of the guide, you should use more bold, italics and underlining to seperate important ideas. Everything being the same font doesn't distinguish important sections from others, and this is especially important when you talk skill builds, since that is where you should REALLY use such tools. You're also hitting the enter button a lot, and you really don't need to space things out that much.

5 - The people you gave credit to for the skill builds, may not actually be the people who came up with them. It's very possible other people came up with similar skill builds at the same time. While I understand you want to give your friends and guild members credit, I don't think skill builds are a correct place to do so. Furthermore on the subject of creditting, I don't think you should really put that link to join "Royalty" in the guide, but that's just a personal thing I don't like. Shameless plugs are kind of annoying to some after all.

Other than what I mentioned, looks good for a draft of a guide!

I don't know a whole lot, but I'm just gonna say really quickly that this section is pretty useless, all it does is state the obvious. Something more like:

"Daggers have the advantage of being more effective at close range. Bows have a variety of AoE skills, many of which hit all around you. Xbows have many powerful far ranged skills that can do crazy stuff like shoot missiles. Knuckles are not recommended for explorers, but have neat skills and 3 branches to help you combo better early on."

Go more in-depth though, and give some examples of where each weapon excels. Obviously, don't half-guess half-BS it like I did.

Woah dude, why is the weapons of choice rea even THERE with no info?

First of all, you should point out that certain equips (Tigris Bow) are completely useless for example, (At least unless you blew some money on this game or it's a secondary funded character) as it costs about a mil each upgrade, if you find one cheap enough.

I'd also have to say that Spriggans at 59 is a bit early, I'm at Grand Hallway now soloing, and if you go one map to the right it's also pretty good, but mostly better for partying. I've heard of a few friends training on the ship but they take a decent amount of damage there.

As for your builds, they seem decent, but not that great, I'd consider revising them.

Also, you lack structure in your guide, I suggest you bold, color, or whatever you have to do to make the headers stick out, because right now it looks like someone just spit up some text.

When you write like:

Do you mean that you should put 2 in both skills or just in one?

As for the skill builds: You dont get a Skill point at level 1. So basically, the whole skill build you have is 1 level off

You get a free skill points from saving at the Elias Iris Stone, so no, the builds aren't off(in that regard at least).

This guide is horribly outdated though, and the only skill build that doesn't suck is the one for crossbow. So if you were thinking of following this guide, don't.
