2II. What is Meister?

Meister, promoted from Engineer at level 80 is a new class that came to Latale during 2009. It is one of the most powerful melee class and one of the best class in PVP. It is similar to Bladers, it uses basic and hard attack to create combos to unleash attacks on enemies, with the assist of 4 powerful skills. Meister uses MG (robots) as the main weapon and cannot use tool boxes from engineers. Apart from turrets and some misc skills, Meister are very different to Engineers. Meisters have 2 main stats to focus on, one is strength (for pure normal damage output) while the other one is luck (for pure critical rate). It is up to player's personal preference to choose one over the other. Same as all other classes, the stats Strength adds damage, HP (known as Stamina) adds HP and defence, MP ( known as Magic) adds SP, and Luck adds Critical rate and Ely drop from Monsters.

Meister in PVP
Meister are very powerful in pvp compare to other classes. Their skills have fast attackspeed, especially Mistertein, Summons a MG Mech that attacks enemy with 2 strong hits. Other skills such as Gailborg and Raikiri is also very powerful (see skills section for more information). However powerful they are, Meister skills have a long cool down, in one game of pvp, can be only used a few times so it must be used effectively. Meister's basic attacks has a slow start but with continuous combos, it'll develop into high output and powerful attacks. Meister also have high accuracy due to their masteries, therefore it rarely misses the opponent unless they have high evasion. Meister's damage is also powerful, like bladers, will do ~1k normal damage but less attack speed compared. With the help of turrets, such as push and fire, weakening opponents and making Meister event powerful in pvp. With Valkyrie MG weapon, the fast attack speed, will make opponent unsusceptible to attack. The bottom line is, Meister is in my opinion the most powerful class in pvp and if you're interested in playing PVP more than leveling, this class is great for you.

Excel both in Long range and short range.
Flashy skills and attacks
Distinctive in the crowd
Excellent in pvp
High HP

Cons:

Have large skill cool down
Low defense
Only one attacking skill tree
Not the best tank

MG Mastery (Novice)

Increase your MG's Accuracy. 1% Accuracy increase per Skill Point.
Require lvl: 1/2/3/4/5
Max lvl: 5
Point use per skill lvl: 1

MG Mastery (Skilled)

Increase your MG's damage. 1% Min. and Max. Damage increase per Skill Point.
Require lvl: 15/16/17/18/19/20/21/22/23/24
Prerequisite: MG Mastery (Novice) lvl5
Max lvl: 10
Point use per skill lvl: 1
Price: 7,500 ely

MG Mastery (Expert)

Increase your MG's Accuracy and Min. damage. 1% Accuracy and Min. Damage increase per Skill Point.
Require lvl: 30/31/32/33/34/35/36/37/38/39
Prerequisite: MG Mastery (Skilled) lvl10
Max lvl: 10
Point use per skill lvl: 1
Price: 27,000 ely

MG Control (Novice)

Increase your profficientcy with MGs.

Enable the use of 1st level Strong Attacks
You can make combos with the strong attack: Strong, Strong, Strong or Weak, Weak, Strong.
Special MGs can use special charge attacks.

Required lvl: 1
Max lvl: 1
Point Used per skill lvl: 2
Price: 100 Ely

MG Control (Skilled)

Increase your profficientcy with MGs.

Enable the use of 2nd level Strong Attacks
You can make combos with the 2nd level strong attack: Weak, Weak, Weak, Strong.

Required lvl: 30
Prerequisite: MG Control (Novice) lvl1
Max lvl: 1
Point Used per skill lvl: 2
Price: 27,000 Ely

MG Control (Expert)

Increase your profficientcy with MGs.

Enable the use of 3rd level Strong Attacks
You can make combos with the 3rd level strong attack: Weak, Weak, Weak, Weak, Strong. Rope Speed also increase by 30%

Prerequisite: MG Control (Skilled) lvl1
Max lvl: 1
Point Used per skill lvl: 3
Price: 126,000 Ely

Ash Cannon

A Mech Ally appears to launch a volley of missiles at your enemies.

Comment: It uses machine gun for 3 hits and then finishes off with a close range missile. It has about 1 sec gap between casting and hitting, there fore it is recommended to use with Jump Action Skill (JAS), which is jump, then quickly press basic/hard attack + skill before lands. It is also recommended to use when you have a large enough gap between enemies and yourself.

A Mecha ally appears to devastate your enemies with his broadsword.

Comment: This is one of the best skill that does above 3k damage and save lives. Its fast and effective. It also at from behind close-ranged.

Fire Turret [Lv. 6/7/8/9]

Places a turret that shoots flames at nearby enemies.

Comment: Fire turrets in my opinion are not as useful for Mei as for Engineer. For one, it wastes too much SP (Skill Points) and it's damage are not high enough to be effect against enemies. Best effective when boss hunting.

Curse Turret

Places a turret that lower the strength of nearby enemies by 30%.

Comment: Same effect as the curse turret in Engineer. Not very useful. Recommend not getting it unless have extra skills points.

Places a turret that slows nearby enemies.

Comment: Same effect as the slow turret in Engineer. Can be useful. Slows down enemies movement by 50%. Good combo effect combined with push turret.

Push Turret

Places a turret that pushes enemies away.

Comment: It pushes enemies at one direction that the character is facing. It'll also push the enemies behind but only if the enemies are very close to the turret (almost touching). Very useful. Recommend getting it.

Places a turret that recovers nearby party member's SP.

Comment: A supportive skill, one of the best party buff, but not recommend getting it unless has extra skill points.

Duration: 15 sec
Recovery rate: 2% SP recovered each time, up to 16% recovered in 8 times. Recovery interval is random. Higher magic stat users recovers more.

BTW, is it possible to combo MG control series? I saw how Novice can be activated with SSS and others start with WWS, so will something like WWWWSSS cause expert then novice to activate?

Hmm, i'm not too sure what they meant by SSS to be honest, i think it was referring to the charge attack, which have to hold the hard attack key which takes 3 times the time taken of a normal attack to activate. Such as the valk mg, when you finish with the MG Control Expert combo, WWWWS, you can immediately activate the charge attack, which is known as the MG control novice, so it'll be come WWWWS + SSS in total? However, every move begins with Weak i believe. Hope i didn't loose you there. xD

Personally I'm a hybrid, with points in both trees.
My damage is so well over other meisters in pure power tree that I don't have to worry about going pure.

My recommendation is if your equips are well beyond above average, spend 20 of your points on the HP Passive and follow through the power tree

I equalized my stats, with str being a little higher than others... its pretty hard to dominate in a single stat as a meister

the key to damage is the +% equips

for example right now im using the 130 meister set with 62% crit gloves, knight mg with 48% min 48% max dmg , dmg % ring (eldergain) , god of shopping title (+15% crit) , gabe set (+25% crit) and gumiho (+22% crit ) and a 15% crit bonus from the full set

also i recommend buying/farming a pair of captain bong glasses

So whats the best equipement to get right at class change to meister? is it worth it to get the class armor or should I stick with sphinx? also, about how much does it cost to set skills after class change? so I know to save up.

If you have enough ely to purchase the level 80 class armor then you could buy it, they upgrade every 10 levels until you hit 120ish. Otherwise it would be good to use normal armor and save up for the level 130 class armor, since they are more important. and when you class change, the skill reset is completely free.

Skill build from the 80 original:
max all 3 MG controls, and all masterys, then 1 ash cannon, then max potential energy, max power surge, max focus, and do as much as you can in power upgrade. at 82, put another in power upgrade, at 85, level 2 ash cannon, at level 86, max power upgrade. all I've got so far.
