MLA Citing
Just one quick question. I'm citing for an essay, but I'm stuck on one part.
I'm aware that when citing, citations must be in order according to the first letter of the author's name. But...if it's from Wikipedia...: "2011 Yemeni protests." Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. 24 March 2011. 24 March 2011. < 2011 Yemeni protests - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia > And since it starts with a number...where to? Or did I cite that wrong? |
If possible, find where this information originally was taken from, most professors don't like wikipedia for citation.
In general, if you don't have the information, it's alright to omit it. In this case, there's no author, so just leave it out. "2011 Yemeni Protests." Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia. Web. 16 Apr. 2011. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Yemeni_protests>. remember to indent the second line and on. |
Quote:
If you're looking for a specific protest, find the source in the list and use that instead. If you're trying to talk about the number of protests there were, search that instead and find a different website. |
The thing is my teacher allowed Wikipedia so long as its cited correctly.
I don't know if I can remove it from my works cited unless I can easily find “unemployment, economic conditions and corruption” somewhere else. |

My brother even suggested that ._.
