If the object accelerates at 2.4m/s^2, how much kinetic friction is acting? i assumed it' looking for coefficient of friction but the answers are all in N Answers are a. 26N b. 11N c. 10N d. 6.4N e. 4.9N Here's what i'm thinking. i have 2 formulas Ffriction = coefficient of friction x Fnet and Fnet = ma m = 1.8, a = 2.4 from question. So Fnet = 4.32N. I assumed then, the 7N in question is the friction force, but then...i would be finding what the coefficient of friction is..and i got 1.6 (what's the unit for it?) which doesn't match...and i dont' think it's in N. I don't even know what the question is asking for, help please? __________________ If only

If you plug in the known variables, you can isolate mu which is the constant of the friction. I'm doing this same stuff right now myself and I'm having trouble with it, too. Tell me if that's wrong or not DX __________________ Games playing: Trauma Center: UTK, STM: Devil Survivor, SSBB, DestinaRO server.

If you were to find the coefficient, you`d use the value for Ffric divided by Fnormal. 2.68/(1.8 * 9.8) = 0.15 no units. __________________ League of Legends Fanatic - NA - Ideality
