Question - Priest - Hammer or Staff?

Hey, i'm really new to GFO, so I was wondering is it best to use a staff or a hammer as a priest?
---
I'm currently using a staff and love it. I pretty much never run of MP and can kill most things my level range in 1 or 2 casts.
---
what are your thoughts?

At the priest level, anything that helps you grind faster is the way to go.

The only time you have to make a decision is whether you want to go the Cleric (staff) or the Sage (2 handed hammer or dual hammer) path. You may also have to make the decision when you make the character and you want a weapon sprite.

i think the weapons with an orange or blue name are the best weapons for their level since it has special stats.

You will not run out of mp earlier but when you are nearing to 30, you will need mp pots more especially when you job change.

I've been using a hammer and I love it. My magic takes forever to cooldown, but I can cast and take most enemies around my level down to about half, and I can smash it to death when it gets to me.

then again, I just turned priest so I don't have new skills yet :P

I still have both staff and hammer specialist.

^ Yeah, more talents= more talent combinations 8D

If you wanna go Cleric and Magic based Sage, use staff. I think the level 28 orange staff reduces your cast time by 30% so it's really useful for spells.
If you wanna go Sage(mainly for wolf form), use hammer.

Well, the way that priest skills are from what I've seen, there don't seem to be a lot of magic based attacks, which is why I like using hammers.
