Computer crashes

Recently after a few patches after the Geas patch, whenever I started NAGC on my laptop. Several programs would quickly shut down in succession and then an abrupt BSOD would appear then the computer would shut down. It's happened nearly every time on my desktop (Vista 64-bit operating system, 4.00 GB RAM). So obviously I was playing NAGC just fine before then.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as that's the only thing I could think of to fix it. No viruses were spotted either.

WHAT DO??

Also, apologies in advance if there was something I could have done to check this before asking for help. However, this is definitely not my area of knowledge.

EDIT: Actually, it seems that avast! Antivirus tells me to open the GameMon with sandbox or not open it at all.
