Jin's charge style could be seen as innovative and unique or tedious and limiting. On one hand, his attacks are fast and....well......cheap. Offset by incredibly short range and seemingly low power. Skills are (for the most part) a mixed bag. The Shin Shoryuken is spam crap while the last two skills can be seen as holy hell. Problem with the first two is actually being able to connect those skills in. The charge system gives Jin more moves (which are actually more pointless than anything). And good lord, this guy must be a real homage to soul calibur, cause I can't remember any of his friggin moves :P Granted..I just got him today.......

I think I have a 3rd main here :P

fast, grab easy, many diffrent styles, strong, lass but shorter range

yea i say jin is ok. his range is what kills him but his charge and diffrent combos is what makes him super strong. while he is strong during 2nd bar in my opinion when charged and using skills to me the skills are weaker besides 3rd bar which seems so much better than the normal 3rd bar which to me is uberly weak for a 3rd bar and seem like even the 2nd bar is stronger. jin's diffrent charge attacks are unqie and fast which makes him fun. as much as i dont use jin much he is very fun to play with.

after 1st bar you can ground grab. after 2nd bar of course you can air grab. 3rd bar you can air grab and if you are in a corner it hits behind you. you can do the charge attacks in midair, just press V,X and after either ^, >, or <<> or >>< when you are on a top platform where you can go down quickly.

Im not an expert grabber so......yeah.......any other tips beyond pvp? He's kinda failing in dungeons

No, it true jin suck in dungeon overall.if you can get pass lvl 30+ gg to you. All his skill do so little.

Jin is easy mode in both dungeons and pvp.

Uppercut spam is all you need in pvp.
Regular combos is all you need in dungeons.

Jin is really just a smaller, weaker version of Neph, with more skills.

Personally I don't use burn. I think it is a waste of time because most of my combos come from the regular basic moves anyways.

I only got mine to 30 and I haven't touched him in a while though.

Ok..you're saying that as if Jin is godly hax. The man's range and crap skills more than enough hamper his true ability to hand someone their asses. Plus, having to charge up to use certain attacks is limiting and too risky.

You don't really need to use burn to be good with Jin.
IF you use it and charge it all the way, you have like a crappier version of 'super armor'
Range doesn't really matter at all in dungeons..
Just go upclose, do regular combos, till they die.

Pvp? There's a lot of ways to use Jin.
One way people play Jin alot is.. Spamming dragon uppercut or w/e it's called.

He may have crappy range, but you can use hadouken, hanuman, and other moves to your advantage.

useful tip: in dungeons with jin, charge 1 bar of burn and use it with ur 3mp skill, its better

Just hit Z for his first few hits, until the point he'd do the bicycle kick and knock them back slightly, and instead hit down+Z so he shadow dashes behind them, then repeat. He's so fast that this infinite combo doesn't allow them to hit you back at all. He has enough push that you'll end up forming mobs of monsters up while using it anyways.

If you absolutely must, charge his power up a bit for Hanuman spam. It's useless for pretty much everything else. The normal versions of skills are, in my opinion, superior to the charged versions. I prefer the focused fist to the moving one by far.
