ggFTW Facebook Login Issues Resolved

Hi everyone,

A couple of months back, you may have noticed the disappearance of the Facebook "Login" button. We had to remove this because of a bug in the Facebook platform that would continually redirect visitors (not members) to the Register page under certain conditions.

ggFTW filed an official bug with Facebook and it appears the situation is now resolved. We've tested the affected condition pretty extensively and are as confident as we can be that it is indeed resolved. Therefore, we have re-implemented this feature for the convenience of our members and future members.

Should this bug happen again (or any other wacky things with the Facebook login integration) please drop a note in our Site Bugs forum. In the event you cannot login to post a message, please use the "contact us" link at the bottom of every page.

Remember, do not share your password (Facebook or ggFTW) with anyone. ggFTW will never ask you for your password. If anyone claiming to be ggFTW staff asks for your password for any reason, please promptly report it using the "contact us" link.

Also, if the Facebook login breaks again on Facebook’s side, we may disable it permanently.

Remember, logging in with Facebook is now the only way to get the Facebook icon on your profile :)
