MMOG Maintenance Announcement

MMOG 1.0 Project

MMOG will be performing maintenance on the server on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 from 12:00 AM PST to 2:00 AM PST. During this time, the forum, wiki, blogs, and gallery may be unavailable, and the server itself may be unavailable as certain critical server daemons are reconfigured and restarted. Several new features will be implemented during this maintenance and several existing features will be upgraded. Since we initially said we released as "beta" even though we got a flood of traffic, we never officially launched. We're calling this the "MMOG 1.0 Project".

This is a massive update. I've scripted out everything to try and make this go as smoothly as I can and I expect no more than an hour - but I've scheduled 2 just in case and there's always the chance it could go longer.

If it does, please be patient - I think the end result will be worth it.

I hope it won't. Most of the update, again, is scripted and a lot of things have already been staged on the production server. I'm doing my best to make it as painless as possible, heh.

Yeah, the game forums will be customized as they are now. I just didn't feel the need to post 10 different screenshots, heh.

Guilds will still get custom looks if they meet the criteria and request it. We've had one request it but we held off because we were waiting on this.
