MMOG Elections - Sen. Barack Obama vs. Sen. John McCain
Election day is upon us! The MMOG election doesn't affect anything and it won't affect the next President of the USA, but it will be fun!
So cast your vote here for Senator Barack Obama or Senator John McCain! Feel free to discuss your choice of candidate below. I know we have more than just a US audience but the next US president will have an impact on you - somehow. Look at all the countries affected as NATO occupied Afghanistan and coalition forces occupied Iraq. Look at how the price of fuel has risen to new records in many parts of the world due to a weakening US dollar. See how many people around the world are being denied credit because of a US-led credit meltdown - and how many global taxpayers are being affected as their governments pass resolutions to try and solve the credit crisis!
These numbers affect no race but they do show the American public - and the entire world - what an international community of gamers thinks about the race!
This is not a repeat of the Random forum "Obama vs. McCain" thread; please remain on-topic.

This just reminded me that today are the elections. Oh man... the fate of America depends on today.

John McCain never mentioned what stuff he would do different from Bush in terms of the US economy. If that's the case, then I don't think I can count on a bounce back time with a Republican on hand.
Being a Canadian, the US economy does serve a bigger impact than what some people might think. Personally, it is affecting the purchases I'am making.
If I could legally vote, my vote would go to Obama.

I submitted our mock election to CNN - that would be so cool if we got some coverage. I gave them a brief of our audience, traffic, and the event we're running =]

I am not American, although we are feeling some of the effects caused by America.. So I guess this really does seem important for both countries. (Canada)
As for me, well I don't care for politics or elections, so I admit I have no idea what any of them are talking about, although I like Obama more then McCain.
Watching a small bit of Obama's speech because I was bored, and he sounded like he knew what he was doing. So I was thought "He's the man for the job."
After watching a little of Pilin, who is with McCain.. erm ya.. hell no.
Obama wins my vote if I had to make one.

Wait, so they might even state some of the responses that we make here?

I like Obama, but there's no way he can follow through on everything he's saying...
I kinda like McCain, and I don't think he's a Bush clone, and I don't think Bush is the raging idiot he's been made out to be, more like a scapegoat.
I'd decide with a coinflip, but I'm not sure if I can assign heads and tails while remaining politically correct =/
My vote goes to Biden for president~ But I can't rely on Obama to suddenly cease to exist...so...

I *really* doubt that CNN will pick it up lol - I just thought it would be a neat idea to pass them.

I truly hope that the Americans will make the right decision and have Obama become the next president of the Untied States.

The internet would vote for Obama, that's no doubt.
But the United States of America, on the other hand...

I too voted for Obama.
I watched one of the Presidential elections and one of the Vice Presidential elections and was forced to analyze both for AP English.
Both sides promise interesting solution to the current dilemma, but it is the differences that truly contrast the two candidates. One must also look beyond race, sex, religion and whatnot and observe what the policies are for both candidates.
Obama has proven himself to be a tough competitor by knocking out Hillary Clinton a few months back. He has also proven himself to be a skilled orator and is clearly able to convince huge crowds of people to vote for him, despite his seemingly small politician background.
McCain would be the oldest president to take office, but one most look beyond that to compare the two. McCain has a lot of experience in the White House and can make a difference in the current economic state.
The biggest reason why I would vote for Obama is that I truly dislike the war in Iraq. I feel that the Iraqis should be able to defend themselves with only minimal aid from the U.S.

Well, that's what we're trying to find out - our community is comprised of more than just players from the USA. We want to see who the world's MMO gamers want as the next president =]

Lol... imagine the publicity though.
On topic: Obama is just screwed in Philadephia and the state of Virginia and POSSIBLY Florida. Obama should win by a landslide.

I'm fairly certain that almost every non-american will vote Obama, though I can't say I'm entirely privy to the reason behind this trend. Judging by the current poll results...

Yes, but it will be less screwed if Barak Obama wins. Btw, I'm not American, and my vote goes to Obama.
Lol it's funny, my country is having it's elections in three days.

It's actually true. There is even a city named Obama in Japan. @_@... You should see the support there for Obama.

@Valtiel: You change the problems little by little, because people are resistant to sudden change.
