Internet Phone calls?

Im sure most of you have heard of Skype or some type of Internet phoneline service. Anyway I want to know how exactly does it work? Like I know I dial the number on my computer but how do i talk to them? (NOTE: Im talking about from computer-telephone). An explanation would be nice. One more thing anyone know a good Internet telephone service that offers free long distance calls?

For Skype, just add your skype friends contact, like you adding someone @ MSN or other IM contacts.

For computer->Phone, you might want to purchase some talk-time credits for your Skype account before you actually can call from computer->phone.

So it would mean I'd still have to pay?

Yes, you've to, if it's computer->phone ._.

If it's computer->computer [aka via skype contacts] then you don't have to pay for that.

Yeah I figured much. Is there any service out there that trusted to give free services. Cuz I was searching and I found one but it turns out you have to watch an ad first then you can call. O.o

I'd rather just call them ._. or using Skype services [at least it's cheaper than phone->phone].

Since...you don't want them to spam your email, phone, sms or probably exposes your information online, don't you?
