Limit sucks:

I got 7gb peak time and 14gb off-peak(12am-12pm)

Even though i got ADSL2+ , getting around 20mbp/s, I'm not satisfied with Optus's(aka Singtel) crap random-disconnections. Randomly happens after 5-6hrs and lasts for 2-3mins....

Then again, in Australia, there ARE no good ISP. Their all $$ like the majority of businesses nowadays.

Got Rogers here. Everything is fine and dandy EXCEPT for the price to download rate ratio...I got the 2nd slowest package.

$35 a month for 120KB/s download and 10KB/s upload. That's gotta be a friggen rip off compared to the speed to price ratio of other people's internet I've seen.

ISP: Bell Sympatico High Speed ADSL
Satisfactory: Very Satisfied

Pros: I've purchased a 7mbit connection for $45 a month and I receive a solid stream of 5.2mbit. It's a very reliable service, rarely has problems, and if there are problems they also have a very helpful technical team.

The other big competitor in my area is Rogers Cable, which usually sucks and has huge downtowns. I remember my teacher saying it took him 3 days to download 300mb at one point.

I prefer ADSL anyday, because it is a constant connection uneffected by other users in my area. The factor determining your speed is the distance from their network, which I'm fortunate enough to be close.

Cons: No faster connection is offered for my geographical location. My service used to have unlimited bandwidth usage but was capped at 100GB about a year ago.

$47 for 100mbps (12.5Megabyte/second) on my desktop, usually a steady DL speed of 2MB/sec and 170KB/Sec upload.
11mbps (1.37Megabyte/second on my laptop with excellent signal strength and an old router, usually a steady download speed of 600KB/sec and 55KB/Upload)
